10/10!!! Love this place ❤️
We had a great time. Definitely recommend the guided tours. They are able to go off the trail and the animals know to come right to the trailer.
My family had a blast!! Family of 5 used 3 buckets of feed so fast.
Tour guide, Tuesday, she was awesome and so friendly. She took time when the animals approached and insured we had a wonderful experience.

This zoo is a great place to visit with kids! In addition to designated areas where both children and adults can get up close with animals, there are also plenty of interactive experiences available (though they require an extra fee).

Besides the family-friendly play areas, visitors can also drive through the park to feed the animals. The park boasts a rich and diverse ecosystem, making it a fascinating experience. If there’s one thing to note, it’s that the animals here seem incredibly eager for food! The moment a car approaches, they swarm around it, and even after being fed, they’ll try to stick their heads through the windows or chase after the vehicle. They’re definitely enthusiastic! Of course, I’m joking when I say they look “starved”—all the animals appear to be very healthy and well cared for.

One of the most exciting highlights was seeing American bison and Scottish Highland cattle that were even larger than my car! On the other hand, the baby sheep and young Highland cattle were absolutely adorable. It was truly a memorable experience!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Exotic Zoo Resort! The property is beautiful, with so much to see and do. The playscape was a hit with the LO, and we loved relaxing under the stars and roasting marshmallows in the one of many fire pits. The animal interactions were incredible—getting to see all the exotic animals up close was a highlight, and kissing the camel was so fun and quirky! The petting zoo was also a great experience, with tons of friendly animals to feed and pet.

The only downside was the kiddie pool—it was a bit dirty with leaves and bugs when we arrived. But after cleaning it out a little, we still had a great time swimming and enjoying the day.

Overall, Exotic Zoo Resort is a must-visit for animal lovers and families. We can’t wait to go back and experience it all again! Highly recommend!

Absolutely so much fun. Our guided tour host, Kaylee, was the best. She gave us so much information about the animals, and gave us plenty of time to feed the animals and take pictures. We did not feel rushed. We definitely will be going back! They have a wonderful gift shop, lots of items, toys, shirts to choose from, I got my llama ❤️

I booked the “Bear Den” cabin and had an absolutely amazing experience! The cabin itself was cozy, well-maintained, and perfectly located in the heart of the zoo. It was a truly unique experience to stay surrounded by nature and wildlife.

The stay included a self-driving safari, which allowed us to explore at our own pace, and it was incredible to see so many animals up close, including kangaroos, giraffes, zebras, and camels. The pet feeding experience was a delightful addition for animal lovers. The guided safari was the highlight of our visit – the guide was knowledgeable and made the experience both fun and educational.

The cabin area had some great amenities, like a pool table, a swimming pool, and a large screen for watching matches, which added to the entertainment during our stay. However, the only disappointment was that we were under the impression that the cabin had a kitchen, but it didn’t.

Overall, it was a memorable adventure, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a mix of relaxation and wildlife exploration. Would love to visit again!

We did the tour in our own truck and it was absolutely amazing. The animals were all around us. We were able to go at our own pace and had a super cool camel encounter! The highland cows are super cute and soft. We stopped completely unplanned and it just seemed like something fun to do. It was the highlight of the day.

Fantastic. The whole place had a relaxed and beautiful feel. I felt like we'd travel around the world.

THE coolest thing we did on our visit to Austin. Worth the drive. We arrived on a weekday and it was in the 50s (so Texas freezing) and we had the tour all to ourselves. Magic! Whether your kids love animals or the kid inside you does, this place has all the feels. Wide open spaces for animals to roam and we got to feed them and love on them. Inside all I kept saying is AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN. We will be back. Whole experience was just under 3 hours and cost just over $80 for three of us and feed. Tip- Buy extra buckets of food.
