We had a lovely evening camping at Blanco. The sites were well spaced and easy to get in and out of. 30 amp service was available as well as water that is good for showering but not tasty for drinking. The nature trail is a wonderful find and we loved walking our dog on this interesting trail. Staff was super warm and friendly. The water is clear and comfortably warm but still refreshing. Verizon cell service is available.

Clean restrooms and showers, beautiful weather in March, and friendly staff. The weekend we camped, the HCA (Hill Country Astronomers) club was there with telescopes, allowing us to look at stars, planets, and the moon! We could see the craters in the moon so clearly! While here, we camped, fished, kayaked, colored, and shopped the beautiful historic town square. It was very relaxing.

The water was low but not still. Very well kept. Beautiful landscape . Rlly appreciated the stairs on the damn to get back up. No BBQ rn. 5$ per person. 12 n under free.

Blanco State Park is absolutely gorgeous! It offers great opportunities for swimming and hiking, with trails that are easy to navigate. The park also provides clean restrooms, and the $5 per person entry fee is a reasonable price for such a hidden gem. The swimming area is perfect for both kids and adults. Even in October, the water temperature was just right – not too cold, not too hot. I will definitely be visiting again!

We love Blanco State Park. It was a bit chilly at night but there was electricity. The city of Blanco did have a major water line that busted so the whole city was without water on our stay that really impacted our stay because all restaurants and restrooms were closed so we had to travel to Johnson City for food n RR. However overall we would come stay again.

This place was so lovely!!! I wish I could give it 5 stars, but our campsite and nearby sites and grassy area were horribly infested with vicious biting ants!! My 20mo old was squatting in our site playing with trucks when he started screaming and crying! They bit his hands 9 times in just those 2 seconds it took me to run over and grab him!! If they control the ants, the river is so lovely to walk by and the huge trees and the bathhouse was nice, campsites are big and not TOO close. We'd love to stay again! (Minus the biting ants that caused pussy welts on my baby)

This was a 3.5 hour drive for us so when we arrived, hearing that the trail was a mile, we were unsure, BUT getting on the trail it's beautifully wild and untamed! It's wonderful. Yes there are all the things like rv and fishing, but I'm in it for the hiking. 29/89 of the Texas State Parks! I'm happy with this one!

Great state park. The park staff and volunteers are friendly and keep the park in great shape. Plan ahead, there are limited spots and they fill up fast. Make sure to check out the BBQ by the courthouse.
