A very modern visitor center with an interesting exhibition and a lot of information about the Homolovi culture. They also handle the check-in for the state park campground.

What a beautiful little state park!

I love learning about The ancient history of this continent and its peoples! Not only were the ruins absolutely beautiful and well preserved/restored, but they had a wonderful exhibit on the Navajo Code Talkers of world war II fame. Did you know that the Navajo were not the only tribe to take part in this program? Neither did I before I visited! Make sure to enjoy The exhibit and ask the rangers for details! They are very knowledgeable and extremely friendly! They know what they're talking about and make it easy to understand for lay people, like myself.

They also have a beautiful little campground for tents as well as RVs! They have 50 and 30 amp campsites.

If you're in the area of Winslow Arizona, you have to check this place out!

Was a good visit. The park ranger estella was not happy. I had questions but she didn’t listen because she was mad. Asked her why she was mad. Said her coworkers called in sick and she had to cover. Not really my fault. I was on vacation trying to enjoy the visitor center and sites. Kinda left a bad taste for the visit. We did camp two nights there. When I have a bad day at work I don’t let the customers know. It is my problem. Not theirs.

We stay at Homolovi Campgrounds every time we pass through AZ on our way from Michigan to Nevada and back. The sites are level and spacious. The view of sunsets and sunrises is beautiful. Short drive into Winslow for dinner and a cocktail.

This is an amazing state park with absolutely wonderful humans running it! I stayed here for one night only to find my van not starting the following morning--on a Friday. Needless to say I could not find a single shop from Winslow to Flagstaff that could look at my van until Monday. I walked down to the visitor center and waited to speak with the park manager. Once explaining my situation he was more than accommodating and found a camp spot that was available during the very full weekend of mother's day. In addition to all that, he and another ranger helped me tow the van to the available camp spot. Totally went above and beyond to help me and I'm utterly grateful! I can't wait to come back and explore when my van is operational again.

A definite must stop. You get to see the remnants of Native American homesteads. The park is a short drive off the main freeway. Support the park by getting some cool, good quality souvenirs at the visitors center. Day use fee is only $7 for 4 people.
