Good hotel. Nice that you can bring your dog with you. There are even dog treats when you walk in. The restaurant is great, fishing is perfect for kids. I highly recommend for young families and adults. Mattresses in my room need replacing, but I was on the “pets” floor.

I really like this park, have visited several times in the past. This last time... made a reservation almost a month in advance... upon arrival on Friday evening, my reservation could not be found. But they found me a room. Saturday morning I left, droped my key at the desk, told the young man I was checking out of room 409. Noticed later that week that I had been charged for two nights. I called the Lodge, was assured that the person that could issue the refund would be notified and situation resolved. I called again a week later and was put on hold for what seemed forever. Finally hung up. If I go back, I will pay more attention to the process. All the folks there are great people, but this time things did not work out so good.

Visiting family in Dickson and wanted to try this hotel. We were not disappointed! It’s a beautiful hotel, very comfortable and has a nice view of the lake. Can’t wait until next time when we can explore the park. Highly recommend!

We were here mid week in October after fall breaks were over. We were here with only a few others. The staff was helpful, the lodge rooms very nice, the park was beautiful with its fall colors in the tall, tall trees. Some people enjoy relaxing at the beach, but I enjoy parks such as this one for relaxing. The restaurant here was also a plus. When you stay overnight, you have a free continental breakfast in the morning. I was pleased with their options because there were several heathy selections that many hotels don’t offer much of, and there also were pastries and breads if that is your choice. I had not been to Montgomery Bell before so I don’t know what the lodge was like previously, but I will say it is a very nice place to stay. We enjoyed our stay and the beautiful fall scenery.

We stayed around Christmastime and it was lovely! Only a few others staying, staff was great and the lobby was beautifully decorated and so cozy. It was chilly, but always worth it to explore the area too. Wonderful stay!

Visited for a church conference. Room was comfy and staff friendly. Walked around the lodge outside and loved my view from my room. The lodge is pet friendly and I paid extra for a pet room.

We were only there for a get together. But the front desk young man was obviously having a bad day. No smile, nothing and very abrupt. But the janitor was very nice. As was the server. It's a rather dark place. Just the way it's built I think.

Montgomery Bell is a great State Park with an awesome spillway on Lake Woodhaven. It was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's and was recently updated due to damage caused by the 2010 floods.

The park also offers opportunities for nature viewing, hiking, camping, back country exploration/camping, cabin or lodge/hotel stays with lake views, exploring historic structures, and golfing which should appeal to a wide assortment of interests!
