One visitor noted, 'We visited the historic Cumberland Presbyterian Church (birthplace) and found a moderate trail to hike โ we elected to follow the Yellow Blazes of the Spillway Trail which is a tad over a half mile to the beautiful spillway and Lake Woodhaven. The Welcome Center staff were helpful and friendly. The park was not packed given the mid-winter visit we chose. The church was worth the visit & the trails were well-groomed & well-marked. We look forward to additional visits to try other trails as well.'
Overall, Montgomery Bell State Park is a highly recommended destination for those seeking a diverse and enjoyable outdoor experience in Tennessee.
