We are SO thankful we went through Simple Bliss Events for our wedding. After going back and forth, my husband and I decided to have a small, intimate ceremony in our favorite place - the Smoky Mountains. Our plan was to have a small ceremony with our immediate family and wedding party, then go back to our cabin at Parkside Resort to celebrate. That is still what we did, but we went through a separate elopement coordinator before reaching out to Misty to set up the cabin for when we got back. Had we not already signed a contract and paid, I would have loved to have Misty coordinate the whole thing. She was WONDERFUL!

We did a very basic package because ultimately we just wanted someone to decorate for us before we got back to the cabin. Misty did that and even more!!!!! Prior to the wedding, she was quick and responsive to my crazy questions, extremely personable, and did I mention wonderful? She made sure our bouquets/boutonnières were taken care of and delivered the day of, she set up the food that was delivered to our cabin while we were gone, arranged the furniture to make space for a dance floor, set up the tables and cake table beautifully, and moved some things out of the way that just didn’t flow with the whole wedding vibe. There was even a mishap with my photographer that made me really upset…she listened to my concerns and was able to guide me in the situation. While our goal simple and laid back, I still wanted it to feel like a reception at our cabin. This wouldn’t have been possible without Misty! I wasn’t very picky so I basically told her the colors I liked, and she whipped it up! The cabin itself was already beautiful, but Misty is beyond talented at what she does and those small details she paid attention to made all of the difference. We are extremely thankful to have had her assistance on our very special day. If you are on the fence….BOOK HER NOW! You absolutely will not regret it!

We hired Misty for day of coordination this fall, and wished we had paid more mind to some of the critical reviews we read. We wouldn't go so far to say that she negatively impacted our wedding at all, but it was hard to see where our money was well spent. We had a similarly rough time with communication that a lot of other folks seem to have. She isn't really responsive at all. Emails required multiple follow up's and usually it was a few texts that finally got a response. It was usually preceded with a "sorry I've been really busy", and we had a lot of patience for that since we were just day of clients, but once it got to our wedding week and we still couldn't make a phone call happen (not entirely her fault by any means, but we only had 3 days before the wedding to choose from, so we were admittedly increasingly busy with family coming into town), it felt a little frustrating. She tried to skip out on the rehearsal last minute since our officiant was attending the rehearsal. Luckily, we were able to have her there since we were feeling pretty adamant that we didn't want to be answering questions for our coordinator on the actual day of our wedding since we had only had our initial phone call, and sent over her questionnaire for communication thus far. She was very helpful in getting the ceremony organized and rehearsed, so we were certainly happy she was there for the rehearsal. She arrived late on the wedding day (and without the one sign we requested she bring), so we mostly had friends and family pitch (and a friend direct traffic for a signless parking lot) in when a coordinator could have really stepped in and made things pretty smooth - it was just a lot of tiny questions and choices that could have been handled easily by a coordinator. Again, some of that may be our lack of communication, unclear expectations, or having a poor understanding of what to expect of a day of coordinator. She was nice enough, and when she did pitch in, was very helpful, but I can't honestly say we'd recommend her to anyone.

We hired Misty for day of coordinating for our wedding last November and we were ripped off. It was a destination wedding so there was a lot of planning required and communication leading up to the wedding was poor. We originally paid for a flower package but decided against and it when we asked for a refund, we were ignored.

We had plans for a rehearsal the night before the wedding- we all arrived in Pigeon Forge that day and I texted her to confirm the rehearsal and she said that that was not on her calendar. So this is where my panic begins. She was able to make it for the rehearsal but I was already stressing. The day of the wedding, she came to set up decor in the morning and then left before the ceremony. Her assistant was completely useless. My husband and I ended up setting up and directing EVERYTHING throughout the night- the food, directing guests, moving the timeline, dessert, toasts, everything. I’ve never been so stressed in my life. The next day I contacted her to tell her what happened and she acted so surprised and promised me at least a partial refund. Well, it’s been 8 months… not only have we not received the money for the flower package that we are owed, we never received any kind of refund, and any time my husband or I try to call we are hung up on. I am also blocked from her company page on Facebook.

Clearly I will never get any justice for this but all I can do is warn other people. STAY AWAY. Misty is unprofessional and dishonest. Do not let her ruin your big day like she did mine.

This was the most unprofessional company I’ve worked with during my wedding planning process. There was less than no communication, I would go months without receiving a text or call back after paying. Any time communication was made (very seldom) Misty would make promises that were not kept. I fired this company and Misty Insisted that I let her make it right, and that she would give me my money back. Neither of those things happen. My wedding is now over and I’m happy to move on, but I will never forget the way I was treated, and the chaos of my wedding day thanks to Simba bless events.

Where to even begin with this magnificent, remarkable, talented, hard-working woman?! Oh my word. She executed my wedding day flawlessly and made it an absolute dream. The wedding would not have been half of what it was without Misty and her team. There are not enough words or phrases in any language to express our gratitude and the blessing she was to our day. She was everything anyone could ever dream of in a wedding planner. She took care of us as her own and made the wedding day free of stress. We (my family included) got to enjoy the wedding day and take it all in and see her talent come alive while we didn’t even have to lift a finger. I am not sure how I will ever repay her. If there’s anything I can recommend to any bride it’s to book a wedding in her region so that you can have her as your planner. What an absolute answer to prayer and dream she was on our special day.

I can honestly say that thanks to Kristy and her husband my wedding day was a dream come true! I want to give an honest review- so I'm not going to lie- I bought the year of bliss package and in the weeks and months leading up to my wedding I was a little scared because I often did not get the feedback I expected or hoped for when asking questions about vendors and things of that sort- sometimes for a couple of weeks at a time. Up to 2-3 weeks before my wedding weekend, I feel like I did a lot of it by myself such as finding all of my vendors and booking them and communicating with them. I went into the process thinking that if I bought the year of bliss package there would be several meetings throughout the year and would have help with choosing vendors , etc. I bought this package for that reason, but also for the use of the decor they have available to you with that package, which is beautiful. About 2-3 weeks before my wedding, I talked several times with Misty and sent her multiple documents of how I wanted things to look and who the vendors were for her to communicate with. From this point on, I feel like the communication improved 100% and all of my messages were responded to in a very timely manner and she took over all communication with vendors so that they weren't bothering me with questions. Kristy and her husband were assigned to my wedding and I met Kristy the night before the wedding at the rehearsal. I was BLOWN AWAY by her. The day of my wedding she did not leave a single thing undone. She took the list I provided for the decor and set up the wedding reception venue and ceremony site exactly how I imagined it! All day long she checked on me multiple times to make sure I was ok and did the same for Jaren, bringing us water to drink throughout the day as well. As soon as the ceremony was over she came to us and asked what she could go get us to drink and brought it to us. She made our plates so that we had a chance to eat and all night long made sure we had drinks! She kept the timeline on schedule all day long and made sure everything flowed smoothly so that I did not have to worry about a thing! It seriously was the perfect day and the wedding I had always dreamed of thanks to her! If something did go wrong, I didn't know about it because she took care of it before it got to me! I was even told that after the rain she was outside shaking trees so the water would fall out and not fall out on guests during the ceremony. The day after the wedding I received so many compliments on how beautiful everything was and how it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to. I would highly recommend using this team and if you do and are skeptical during the process because you aren't getting feedback quickly, do not worry, your wedding day will be everything you ever dreamed of and more!
