I’ve lived 8 minutes from here all my life and have never stopped in because of some of the reviews I had read.. I’m not sure if it’s new owners, staff or just Karen’s finding something to complain about but I had an amazing experience here and food was awesome! Everything was so hot I could barely eat it when it came out. Meat was very tender and juicy. Some good BBQ for a good price compared to most BBQ places around Monroe county. Don’t knock it till you try it I guess..

Absolutely the worst BBQ ever! I can't beleive they get away with calling what they serve as BBQ. The hamburgers are nothing more than a Bubba burger you buy at Walmart. The last time I was in there I had to find the waitress & ask for BBQ sauce, salt, silverware & refills. Once she dropped our food on the table she never came back. We had to ask another waitressfor our bill. The ribs look like they were boiled first then slapped on a griddle or something.

It's as close to Memphis style BBQ that I have found around here.

It's a very casual dinner. Staff knows the locals, and talk freely. But that's the charm. The decor is minimal.

Pulled pork is good and tender, but could definitely use more time in the smoker.
Brisket has the smoke but could be a little more tender.
Turnip greens are spicy and not bitter. So it's a win!
The fried green tomatoes are nothing fancy. Good but nothing fancy.

Let's talk sauce. That's were the magic happened. Not too sweet, smoky, good spice.

Pros: Friendly staff, good prices, great BBQ sauce, decent Brisket.

Cons: Pulled pork needs more smoke, all the way in Vonore, Brisket is a little dry.

We were on a motorcycle ride in the area in April of 2024 (5 of us) and we stopped by here one evening to eat. This place has amazing food and great staff. They were personable and engaging. All of our plates went back completely cleaned off and we even stuffed our selves with deserts, don't pass on the homemade banana pudding when its available. The first experience was so good, we went back two evenings later to have dinner once more before we left. It is on our list to go to again on future trips through the area.

During my recent visit to Smoke-N-Bonz, I had a mixed dining experience. The fried okra and beans stood out, both prepared to perfection and offering a delightful taste that I thoroughly enjoyed. The okra had just the right amount of crispiness, and the beans were seasoned well, complementing the main dish nicely.

However, the main course, the pork, was less than satisfactory. It was unfortunately overcooked, resulting in a texture that was too dry for my preference. This sentiment was echoed by my business colleagues, who experienced similar issues with their meals.

In the spirit of constructive criticism, I believe Smoke-N-Bonz has the potential for excellence. The side dishes were quite good, indicating that the kitchen has the skill to produce tasty food. I hope that this feedback will be taken as an opportunity to improve, particularly in the preparation of their pork dishes, to ensure a consistently enjoyable dining experience for all customers

Had our first, but definitely not last, Smok 'N Bonz experience this past weekend. I'd heard alot of good things about this place so I was so excited. The brisket was good covered in sauce and the service was as well, also a nice clean establishment.

Loved this place. Patty served us and she was great. Making sure we had everything we needed without being over baring. The restaurant was clean inside and out. Now for the best part the food. I ordered the bbq brisket with Mac and cheese and a side salad. The side salad was pretty big and tasted like.......salad. mac and cheese was nice and creamy like velveta mac and cheese. The brisket was the best I've tasted and would love to go back here for it, even if I had to use the driver through. Key lime pie was for desert and that was good too. If you are in the area or passing through Tennessee you most stop here for some bbq.
