I cannot find a way to review the preschool associated with this church but wanted to leave my experience here so this doesn’t happen to anybody else. We signed my son up for the two day a week preschool and had the initial meeting with Kim and Bri as they would be his teachers. The meeting actually went amazing, we were so excited for him to start and he was too (he even had trouble sleeping he was so excited). They knew he hadn’t been in a program for about a year and assured us any adjustment period would be responded to with grace and help and that they don’t let them be upset long before calling to have you get them for the day to try again another day because “we don’t want it to be a traumatic experience”, which sounded perfect to us. This could not be further from the truth. I drop him off with no incident, he went right in to play and didn’t shed a tear. Two or so hours later I get a call from a clearly angry Kim saying to come get him this isn’t going to work out he’s been screaming like this for a long time I can verify I did hear him screaming on the phone so I know he did but she said it as if he was being kicked out and he was. I get to the school and she was extremely rude and upset and stated he had screamed for a while due to not wanting to switch tasks (which isn’t something we let him do and understand that’s not a good behavior but he’s never done it in a setting like that) but he wasn’t going to be given another chance until I had to ask for one and I had to explain the situation of him not sleeping the night before (it was not asked or considered at all before the decision to kick him out was made) which I now regret because there is clearly no grace or understanding given to a three year old having a bad first day of school which blows my mind. She made me feel as if this is something he did that made him worse than other kids. She states that he was sweet to the other kids and them this was the only thing he did. He had at least two crafts done while he was there so it seems he cooperated at least for a while and the whole time wasn’t a horrible disaster, she also admitted he was hungry when they gave him his lunch. This was very hurtful and after speaking with our pediatrician and other people who work similar positions as Kim at other preschools, as well as people who have taken their kids to similar places, it seems this situation was completely mishandled. We were not given any choice to a course of action until I had to step up and ask for one. I just don’t want anybody else to be told one thing and have the opposite happen, my kid is not perfect but he also did not deserve to be kicked out on day one for struggling to transition tasks. When I got there he was not red or crying and kept asking why he couldn’t come back and why he had to leave. No he shouldn’t have screamed the way he did but the anger she had on her face and in her tone made me very uncomfortable with my child going back as I feel he would not be given a fair second chance. He did not trash the room or attempt to harm another child or teacher from what they directly told me.

This church is by far one of the best places to find a family that will love you and accept you for who you are all while helping, guiding, and mentoring you to be a better you! The community outreach is awesome! The Youth Ministry is so impactful and empowering for these students. I cannot recommend enough.

When I first came to Mhcc it wasn't the preaching that brought me back ( even though I enjoyed it) it was the people, they were so welcoming and inviting and it just felt like home.
Over the 10+ years here I have made true authentic caring friends that have lifted me up through the tough journeys in life!
John Pryor is now the preacher as of last year at mhcc. I love his heart & that he preaches the WORD, I can feel the Holy Spirit speaking through him and his love for the people is authentic.
We have two new and on fire for Jesus youth & teen ministers. We are growing in a positive direction and I love watching God's hand at work. Please come join us and hopefully I'll get to meet you ❤️

We’ve been going to this church Morrison Hill Christian church for more than a year and it’s an excellent church very warm people very welcoming and loving John Pryor is an excellent speaker and it’s from his heart a pastor that plays music and sings before he gets up and speaks the word of God. His father David Pryor is very concerning to people‘s needs and gets to know you right away I couldn’t ask for any more in a church. I urge anyone who wants a good Bible teaching church to come and give it a few weeks of your time.

I don’t even want to give them the one star! I’ve been to many churches, but I have never been to a church that gossips, judges, and hates so so much more than they love. Can’t trust anyone here and they will definitely talk terribly about you and treat you like you’re the worst person alive if they don’t agree with your decisions whether good or bad. VERY ungodly people! I’m not one to leave reviews but hopefully this will save someone from getting hurt and disappointed and bullied by both the youth AND the grown adults.

If you are looking for a church near or in Roane County this place is worth checking out. They have 9am and 1030am Sunday morning worship services to fit into your schedule. They also offer traditional Sunday and Wednesday evening times plus several other special interest classes for all age groups. The children and youth programs here are spectacular. Kids up to 5th grade have their own Junior church and Sunday school classes. Our family loves this church, it’s biblical teachings and it’s congregation so much we drive 45 minutes to attend services. It’s a larger church but it’s easy to plug into smaller life group bible study and get involved. Make sure to check out their website and learn more.

Horribly dissapointed.i expected so much more starting myself and my 4 girls here. What i got is one of the teen youth leaders taking advantage of my 18 year old, mentally unstable daughter. One month later talking her into leaving home, then when she wanted to visit her sisters, this boys mother stepping in telling my daughter what to say and not to say, demanding only a meet at a park. My daughter had dreams of finishing school, going into military abd also going to beauty school. Was recently saying she was never leaving home. Now, nothing. Shes on anti depressants already and has mental issues and this 18 year old boy in a position of mentoring others caused all of this. Then also has his new "girlfriend", my daughter living in his home. I will NEVER send my other children back to this church where this family can have ANY influence on any of my girls. I am truly dissapointed.
