This place is really cool and worth checking out. A lot of fossils are found in the local area but have to get shipped to a museum that is far away. Now fossils found locally can stay here. In a few weeks they’re getting a new, large exhibit. The owner gave us a tour and explained that this museum has been a dream for about 30 years.

We stumbled upon this gem while visiting the area. Ron, the curator, was there and gave us a wonderful tour. He has found most of the fossils in the museum, and his range of knowledge is impressive. It isn't big but "good things come in small packages". We highly recommend it if you are interested in history and especially dinosaurs!! It is free admission but they are happy to take donations.

Such an awesome museum, with bones, fossils, animals, and more! Great tour and extremely knowledgeable about history. Tour guide did amazing with kids and got them all interested!

It is a delightful, small town museum, and a wonderful way to spend an hour. The dinosaur exhibits are easy to see and show a variety of theropods and ornithischians. The rocks and minerals are also fun, especially the phosphorescent ones.

Definitely worth the trip, and I plan on visiting again.

Thoroughly enjoyed the personal tour of the fossils and rocks. Learned about the tarantulas and other Arizona creatures too. He was very informative and let me ask all kinds of questions. Free to get in but a donation was well appreciated and worth the visit. ?

I’ve been following this museum on Facebook for a while and finally took our 12-year old grandson for a visit. He loved it. We had a great tour and we both learned a lot. We need to support this little gem of a museum in Cochise County!

This place was amazing! I took my girls expecting to spend half an hour. We were there almost 2 hours! We arrived while a tour was happenening and afterwords the gentlemen found us and gave us a full tour as well! He was so knowledgeable and we learned so much! My kids got to use microscopes, see local desert creepy crawlies, locally mined minerals and fossils, color pictures, use blacklights on minerals, and hold a dinosaur egg! Theyre still talking about it 2 days later! 10/10 will return and recommend for kids and adults the same! Thank you SoAz Museum of Science!
