If I could give zero stars I would. As not only a patient but someone who works in the nursing field myself, I went for an emergency and immediately recognized negligence, and major errors from the beginning. Went needing an immediate antidote for heavy medication poisoning and knowing they only had maybe the next 20 minutes to act, they instead left me as I fought for my life in a room, while my husband yelled for help and we had no response. I even had convulsions and yet still no one came. I suffered major heart palpitations, eyes rolling back as I went in and out of consciousness as the withdrawls kept hitting from the overdose. They never asked my medical history which was extremely important as I absorb poison quicker due to having my stomach cut. I was also discharged from medical care way to soon while i continued to feel major chest pains and experience dizziness. I was given my IV way too late, disconnected way too soon, and basically received a bill for being told sorry we were to late to help you, take care. I did try to sue with a lawyer but was told it was extremely hard to prove negligence but to complain to the state board instead. I did and nothing has improved here. And I encourage everyone else to steer clear because the negligence is so severe it could cost your life. Infact they had 2 code blues while I was there. TWO! Go elsewhere, for example Baystate in Springfield, they have Much Better Care!

Don't EVER go to this emergency room if (gasp) you are, were, look like, or resemble an "addict" in ANY way! Two time's in the last 5 months my partner has gone. One time we drove, last night it was by ambulance. Every room was empty but he was put in the hallway. They already knew he was an "addict" (before he got there) from his chart, and made sure to tell him that! However, neither time he was there had anything to do with being an "addict". So he let the nurse know he was in "no way looking for any pills or pain medication!" He was there for an insurance purpose because it had to be on record. Once he explained all of that the care (one would think would have improved just a little,) sadly it did not make a difference. They barely treated him and treated him like a piece of garbage. I could go into details with literal words and phrases that were said, but I'm disgusted enough. I know I'll take the ride as far out of the way as possible to avoid ever going to the emergency room there. It's to bad because in the same building there is an actual (amazing) program that could teach these nurses and doctors a few things. Like how not to treat a patient who could be going through hell, or could be loving life but because the word "addict" is next to there name they are scum! Seriously, I watched it and it's actually heartbreaking in 2024 that a HOSPITAL emergency room treats humans this way. They desperately need the state to step in and do something! Reading the reviews pretty much says it all ! Disgusting place and giving it one star was hard enough.

staff are always pleasant and caring. I was seen by Maria Cebula MD and the nurse working with her 2/18 early morning. They were both caring, thorough, and efficient treating me and had me discharged in about one hour so that I could go home and continue to rest.
Thank you

This is the worst emergency room to go to in the area. They rush everything and just try to get you out as fast as possible. Every time I have gone here, I've had a bad experience. They just don't seem to care much about your well being.

Worst experience ever. They have been waiting for hours to be seen by a doctor or to get results. Meanwhile, they’re on their phone chatting with each other but they Have no sympathy or empathy for anyone. And this is the morning because I’ve been there in the night for my boys and the staff Were great I Decidedto go there a second time Around. But I rather sit the new mask memorial all day to be seen.

This place is horrible. Waited 4 hours to be seen while in so much pain. No communication with nurses or staff no one checked on me. Now it’s ok to speak in Spanish with the security guards in which is so unprofessional. The nurses and the staff talk about other patients out in the open while everyone can hear it. So rude. Never ever again!

This ER is disgraceful, if I could give this ER a zero star rating I'd definitely do it that's for sure. But unfortunately you can't do that on here.
1st of all I do understand that their is wait time period, however when an ER tells you or someone else that drove you their in after waiting in the ER waiting room for 3 + hours to be seen. And than get back to the hospital area. NEVER SEEING A DOCTOR.. Just a nurse, and the nurses tell you to go back home and bring in your script meds because they don't have them. Wondering will I ever see them again, really honestly didn't feel comfortable having my driver do this. 1. Reason the biggest reason of them all, will I ever see these pills ever again Will some get lost or misplaced because a ER "doesn't have them". Not just 1 medication but more than half of mine they wanted. I SAID NO. You're an ER at least find something that is equal to that medicine in dose vaule. My Nurse was very rude, and actually told a new doctor how SHE (nurse wanted me to be treated)
2. They don't even have the right meds that I do take, meds that have not taken in over 2 years +/-.
3. NOT THE CORRECT DOSAGE(S)
4. THEY QUICKLY questioned why meds have been changed by doctors that are either with this site or not with them. Who are they too quickly question why a doctor doctor changes your medicines..
5. Not having the correct pharmacy on their records..
NOT even offering me blanket, having me sit in the hallway near the ambulance bay.
I do understand that a lot of ED'S are under staffed. But for them it was more like a gossip place for them.
They didn't even have enough rooms for critical people coming in V.I.A. ambulance, making these critical patients wait longer than what they actually should have been.
The EMT's that brought these poor patients in had to wait 20 mins before finding them a "room". Shouldn't an ER tell EMT's that they don't even have enough room left over for someone who needs, a heart monitor or Oxygen. Something is seriously wrong here

Dr. Joseph Colucci and his mediocre team did a CT scan, failed to diagnose my colostomy obstruction, found recurrence of cancer that I had been battling, told me they would put a referral in to the Harrington cancer center for treatment and completely failed to do so, making me feel like an idiot when I called the cancer center, telling me there was no referral made. One of the worst Emergency rooms, uncaring and pathetic, almost as bad as Southbridge. Avoid like the plague. I went here to avoid Day Kimball in CT. Huge mistake.
