My husband, son and I took a trip with Captain Mike on father's day this year and we couldn't be happier with our experience! Mike kept us on the fish all morning, we pulled striped bass in constantly. My husband reeled in a few on his fly rod before switching it up, my 10 year old caught the biggest for the day and also caught us dinner and I outfished them all. Captain Mike was very knowledgeable about the area we fished and made sure we saw other wildlife throughout the trip. If we end up back in the area we will not hesitate to hit Mike up for another trip. Thank you for some great memories!!

My husband and I went out on a Great white shark tour with Captain Mike of Dragonfly Charters back in September of 2024 and I can't say enough good things about the experience! I meant to follow up and write a review since we had such a great time. Captain Mike is a real class act with a great sense of humor and it was a joy to go out on the water with him that day. We ended up seeing two Great Whites thanks to him and his keen eyed spotter up in the sky. The weather had not been on our side that trip, storms for the first 3-4 days or the trip that stirred up the water, so the water was much murkier than usual and at first it seemed as though we might not be able to actually go out. I was in contact with Cpt. Mike about a week before we went out and due to the weather, ended up out on the water on the second to last day of my trip out on the Cape. Cpt. Mike was very easy to communicate with and was very honest about the fact that the water was murky due to the storms and the chance to go out night not come up during my stay there. The day of a tour had gone out in the morning and had only seen one shark for the hour, and Cpt Mike. told me that we might not see any and left it up to me as to whether we would go out or not that day. I really appreciate his honestly but decided to take a change and I'm glad I did as we had a fantastic trip! The water was a bit choppy but that made it at the more exciting and we had a great Cpt steering the boat! The sharks were a bit hard to see, they looked not like dark shapes but we got right over the first one which Mike estimated at 14 feet. What an experience it was to be that close to an apex predator of that size! Just amazing! At the end of the hour Mike took us over to get a look at some of the seals that lounge around the area and that was a real treat as well! Predators and the prey! If this is something you are interesting in, them you can't go wrong with Dragonfly Charters! Cpt Mike has lots of experience with not only being out in the water but with finding the Great Whites out in the Cape - he told me he used to take Dr. Greg Skomal and his Atlantic White Shark Conservancy (AWSC) team out for their research and tagging for several years. When they amicably parted ways, he went out on his own and has been at it ever since. My husband, who is not nearly the shark nerd I am, had great time as well. I can't wait to go back when the weather is better and try again! Thanks for everything Captain Mike! Cheers.

Capt Mike provides an exceptional fishing experience for anglers of all ages and experience. The boat is comfortable and well decked out for fishing for stripers to tuna. As an avid fly fisherman I was very pleased with my recent trip targeting stripers. Mike knows where they are biting and does a great job of putting his clients on fish. For the non-angler Mike offers whale and shark watching trips which are very popular.

“The best day I had ever had on the water was the last time we fished with capt’n Mike…until today”

Having been out with Mike previously, we were lucky enough to find a last minute time that worked. We managed to bring in roughly 30 stripers on the top water, the majority of which exceeded the slot limit. Mike was a great captain throughout, highlights being his patience as he taught a member of our party who had never fished before (she caught the largest number of fish), his overall respect for ensuring a quick catch and release, and text messages about ceviche recipes afterwards. Can’t recommend enough!

My wife and I took a shark tour with Mike and we haven't stopped talking about it! Truly incredible to see the sharks up close. We really appreciated Mike's experience and knowledge. A big thanks to our spotter pilot Norman too! We highly recommend taking this trip with them and would absolutely look to do this again!

I honestly don't have the words that will describe this trip! Not sure how many individual sharks we saw, but they were all mighty, powerful and beautiful creatures. Until you get close to one, you have no sense of how large and majestic these guys are!

Cap'n Mike was a blast to go out to sea with! He knows the waters and the animals like the back of his hand. He's both very professional, courteous, friendly and light hearted. Lot's of joking around and humor abounded!

The boat was clean, appeared well maintained and was in very good shape (gas powered too for those that don't like the smell of diesel exhaust).

I would not hesitate to go an another trip with him and hope to get to do so soon!

Shark Experience! My 9 1/2 year old son and I went sharking with Captain Mike. A memorable time was had for all as we saw multiple great white sharks up close, saw Greg Skomal and his team at work and even met Captain Mike's "pet" seal, Max! My son, who wants to be a shark scientist, said it was the best three hours of his life. Also special thanks to our spotter pilot Norm.

What a great trip that Captain Mike and his spotter Norman provided to us. We had encounters with 7 sharks, including one that was about 13 feet long. We highly recommend using these two for a shark experience you won’t forget. It was totally worth the trip up from Chatham to meet Mike in Orleans. Thanks again Mike and Norman.
