We booked one of their top rooms for a "get out of dodge" weekend. Very overpriced for what you get. First the positives: Excellent front desk staff, awesome view and very clean room. Now the negatives: The mattress was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever tried to sleep on and the bed pad was never put on right plus it was too big. We would up with large waves of bunched up pad underneath us. The fan in the bathroom did not shut off when the light was shut off. The woman at the front desk stated that it should go off accordingly and asked if we'd like maintenance to look at it. We said yes. They showed up promptly and told us it does not shut off with the switch due to air circulation issues. It eventually shut off some time during the night. We turned the temp down at bedtime but that resulted in the a/c turning on, sounding like a jet taking off. Furnishings were reminiscent of what should be in a Motel 6. In general, room was outdated. Our room overlooked the patio as well as the bay. Friday night there were rowdy people outside until 12:30 am. Saturday night two people were arguing very loudly around midnight on the patio and someone kept beeping a car horn in the parking lot. The breakfast food was not good at all. Scrambled eggs could not be eaten-they tasted like they had been brined in salt water. Hash browns were under-cooked and pastries tasted like they had been frozen. Coffee was average. Others were not happy with the food. Will never stay here again.

My wife & I went for an overnight specifically to use the sauna. We checked out three hours after checking in. First the positives: The jacuzzi was fine. The room was clean and of decent size. Many reviews complain of a moldy odor but we did not notice this. The hallway did smell of cigarette smoke but this is more on a guest than the hotel. The parking lot smelled of sulfur dioxide but this was likely from the adjacent salt marsh rather than sewage and should in no way reflect on the hotel. ||Now the negatives: There are two saunas, one for men and one for women. The women's sauna was not working. The staff looked at it twice but gave up. My wife would not go in the pool because the water was very cloudy indicating a high bacterial count. The walls of our room were paper thin and it was obvious that sleeping there would be difficult. So after three hours we checked out. Now many hotels would give a full refund, but we just asked for a small discount on the $200 we had paid. The manager stated that he could not give a discount because we had booked through Expedia. The room was booked on the hotel website. The manager's claim that we used Expedia sure looked like an outright lie. At this point I would still give them 2 stars in recognition of the positives. Unfortunately there is more. ||||The hotel also put a $60 security deposit pending charge on my charge card. That is fine but should be refunded after a day or so. Almost three weeks later I called to ask why the $60 pending charge remained on my credit card. The front desk informed me I would receive it in a few days minus $10 that is "nonrefundable." Now this room was listed at $150 and right before you book they slap on an additional $50 "tax and cleaning charge." Evidently many hotels do this - the State Attorney General calls it a junk charge and hopes to do away with it. When we booked there was absolutely no indication of this other "nonrefundable fee." They also nickel and dime in other ways. Check in time is 4 PM. If you want to check in 3 PM there is a $20 fee. In the past hotels gave the courtesy of letting you check in early if the room was ready. ||If it weren't for the antics with the $60 security deposit I would give them 2 stars.

Checked in New Years eve. Smelled mold in check in the area. Room was near the pool, tons of kids running from pool to their rooms, the hallway on first floor smells moldy. If you have allergies I'd not stay here. The jacuzzi room was clean & nice. The breakfast I had was bad . The eggs ate not real and water soaked. The potatoes are worse than generic frozen. Heard the pancake machine is good. Otherwise not going ever again. Sick from the mold & unable to work today as a massage therapist cuz I'm coughing up too much crap & o did not even go into the pool area after hearing a woman complain about the air quality in the pool area & seeing all the kids and people soup going on til 10pm.

Clean but outdated rooms. We could hear every footstep up and down the hallway. Breakfast was clean, well displayed and plentiful. We did not use the pool but it was busy every time we passed. Bar was cozy and welcoming.

Stay was not great, pool taken over by pool club which means families not staying there can pay to come to pool and trust me they are there all day , There is no room for guest to use the pool , it's ridiculous. Was told bar would be open on Sunday so booked another night and turns out they weren't open and there was much confusion on why it wasn't. Showers are hard to work , We had trouble with ours and heard other people did too.
Bar when open was kool and met great people, The place is outdated and smells moldy in areas. Breakfast descent, had all you need.
In season prices are not worth it to us.
Not likely to return.

We have a 5 year old and this place is great if you have kids. The breakfast has a lot of toppings for waffles and many other choices for kids and adults. The indoor pool is warm and comfortable for a fall getaway. There is also a beautiful outdoor pool facing the wetlands. The views from the chairs in the back are breathtaking. It’s perfect to sit and have breakfast, a picnic or relax by the fire pit at night. There is a lot of seating. My daughter loved the arcade. Kevin from the front desk was super friendly and helpful during our stay.

We’d love to come here off-season. This was our first time during February break. I personally feel they were under staffed for such a busy time period. I feel the staff are also a little disorganized or it could’ve been the system. Doesn’t give them what they need to help people. I ordered a package item and they said basically to prove it and their receipts don’t have the package listed. Fortunately, they were able to find that I did in fact buy it, but I think their system is severely lacking. The pool was horrendously packed. I think part of it is that they allow food in there so people literally camped out for the entire weekend we were there. I think it would be nice that people can bring in a drink, but not have all their meals there. It was nice that they had a lifeguard considering how many kids were in the pool that isn’t always the case when we’re here, but we also go on slower weekends in October as well. We did have a snowstorm over there. Everything was salted to ensure no one slipped. I do wish that they wouldn’t require sign out of the pool towels. It really jammed up check-in because people were trying to get towels at the same time everyone’s trying to check in for their rooms and everything’s held at the front desk. I feel like they should just sign out automatically for towels and include that as part of the damages if four towels aren’t returned, they just charge the room. If people wanted additional towels, then those in the room, they can go to the front desk and sign them out. Seeing all the issues at check-in I just signed out my towels at that point in time. They definitely need more seats in the pool area. There’s a whole wall that could have chairs. I do like this location because it is in the middle of everything. There’s a lot of restaurants even off season that are still open in this area and I do like that. It is close to Hyannis where there is shopping a brewery, etc.
