Always extremely accommodating and friendly staff. I have stayed here at least 5 times if not more. Location is a little more east than I’d love but it’s not at all a deal breaker. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and ample parking which is huge. I routinely recommend this to friends and family.

Just enjoyed a wonderful get away - three night stay - at the Surfside. Been coming here for years but usually not this late in the season. This was a special time for us as we brought our 9 month old grandson for the first time to the Cape. I was brought to tears when we checked in to learn that our ocean front room had been upgraded to a room that would better fit our needs (Bayview Suite) - with no additional cost. It certainly made our short stay easier having a kitchenette and a porch where we could soak in the bay view of the ocean and know that our grandson and our dog could be safe. Thank you Cindy and staff for making our stay another memorable mini-vacation in the books.

I can without a shadow of a doubt say that this is the best hotel I’ve ever visited! The views of the ocean were stunning and breathtaking and the bed was incredibly soft. It was a interesting choice to make it so the neighbors can visit each other as the balconies are conjoined but I can say Ï will visit again!

I will preface this with saying it is the only large accommodation in the “downtown” area. There’s no other major hotel such as this.

With that being said, it was pet friendly, which we needed. The photos are pretty deceiving. At first I saw them & thought this was pretty nice. There’s two sides to the hotel - ocean view & parking lot view. We had the parking lot view & it seemed that side of the hotel (minus the outdoor seating area & pool) needed major upgrades. Rooms were very tiny (as I said below). Other than that it was functional & relaxing by the pool.

I cannot comment on the breakfast but heard from other guests it was your run of the mill regular continental breakfast (powdered eggs, fruit & boxed cereal).

Surfside Hotel and Suites exceeded all of my expectations! The staff was accommodating and provided the utmost in customer service. With about a fifteen minute walking distance into the main part of town, the location is ideal for both Commercial Street and beach access. Our room had all the comforts needed for a relaxing time. All of the amenities added to a fantastic stay. I highly recommend this hotel, and we will definitely come back again.

My family and I have always gone here, since I was little, I'm 35 now, and am sad to say I will likely not be going back. We have noticed a decline in recent years and always want to give it another chance, but I think we're done. To start, it is filthy. We moved a bed over slightly to make room for a pack n play, and under it was sand, dust, stains, papers, hair. They hadn't cleaned it in months if ever. Also there was mold in the bathroom, potentially black mold, probably very dangerous to breathe in. The air conditioner was hardly working, we had someone come up to look at it and they couldn't do anything about it, they suggested to leave the sliding door open for the breeze, which might have been possible, if the screen door lock wasn't broken. We had a toddler with us and couldn't risk leaving the door unlocked. Also the dead bolt lock on the front door was broken, they had to come up and fix that. The chairs on the deck were broken, falling apart. Beds very uncomfortable. All of these things were not isolated incidents, last year our lock was broken in a different room and it was pretty dirty as well. We spent upwards of $600/night for a waterfront room, including tax. For that money, nothing should be wrong. The staff was nice, but it is clear that they do not invest any money into their hotel and take advantage that they are one of the few hotels in P-town, charging people an arm and a leg, for what? Oh and the beach was not groomed at all, piles of seaweed everywhere. It's too bad, could be a great place.

View from room nice. Pool nice. Room itself just ok, but clean. But it could have been 5 star if someone had come to clean the overwhelming seaweed. A simple raking would probably take an hour and you’d have so many returns. Located near quiet side of town with a mile walk to most stores/docks. Had fun taking the bike buggy. Our dog loved going to restaurants.

Third time staying here! Free upgrade to the bay side and it was great!! Came during off season and still as great as the busy season!! Nice to just walk out of the room and sit and look out to the bay. Folks at the front desk were great! Descent hot coffee and breakfast items at the hotel. Outdoor atmospheres were great! Everything was super clean! Awesome shower and water pressure. Quieter area and not a bad walk down commercial st. Definitely will come back and stay there again.
