Wonderful staff!! Shelley was super helpful when it came to changing the dates of our stay. Once we arrived we were able to enjoy their indoor pool which is very big and our room was very clean. Just across the street is the beach with beautiful sunsets. For a reasonable price and a short distance from town. This was an amazing way to unwind and spend time with family. I absolutely recommend this hotel.

Please be aware, they sell you the rooms as having wifi, but when you arrive you will find out wifi is NOT guaranteed. The oceanfront rooms we stayed in did not have working wifi.

The hotel is ok, it's a little old feeling but the bedroom was comfortable and convenient. The rooms are quite hot, and there is no way to control your own heat. The weather was around 40f, but inside the room we were sweating and had to have the door open and fan on 99% of the time.

I would stay here again despite the issues. It's good for the price paid. The views are nice from the oceanfront rooms. It would be better once the weather improves and the pool opens, etc.

Hot tub doesn't work. Still shows as an amenity even though I've heard it's been down for years. Would have been nice to know there was no hot tub ahead of time. Also the only vending machine in our whole building did not accept any of the dozen bills we had. Front desk closes at night, what people this size doesn't have 24h staff? With no vending it front desk, we couldn't buy a bottle of water after hours. Room was clean and nice, but expected more service.

Positive: I went in the off season and it was windy, cold and rainy, but staying here for two days just to explore was wonderful. The room was clean, resort-like, tiny kitchenette, balcony...I can see how this would be a wonderful vacation spot in summer! Negative: ""

The Sandcastle has been a place I've stayed for 45 yrs. My husband and I have seen many changes over the yrs. First of all I noticed the negative reviews and I do have to say it sounds like people that do not travel much. First of all if you get in your room and find something is not working or broke you need to call the front desk . They immediately come to repair or replace the item. Second all the the places my husband and I have traveled to have "thin wall" so yes you can hear what's going on it the people near you are loud . Again that's when you need to notify the front desk. As for cleanliness, the Sandcastle is very clean! I would not stay there if it wasn't. Again it can happen that something is not to you standards so if you call the front desk they will send someone to take care of the situation. People need to understand that a place that has the perfect location gets quite a bit of business. This place is always changing mattresses sofas , cooking ranges because they get so much use. But if you do not notify the front desk they do not know. Dishes get broke and thrown away then the next guess comes and they are short of dishes . Call the front desk and they will bring you some. As for the grounds they are immaculate. They have a heated indoor pool, they have an outdoor pool, they have shuffle board, grills picknik tables tennis court etc . These as sometimes unavailable due to season. The bay area is an amazing place especially when the tide is out. You or your children can explore the the crabs, seashells birds and the occasional seals. It's a great place that can take a beating from people and weather. So please do your part and care for it like it was yours and make sure to let the front desk in on things that are broke missing or not to your liking. And remember to be respectful not only to your neighbors but to your caretakers of the property.

If I could give this place -5 stars I would. DO NOT STAY here. This is a rip-off simply bc of their location. The service is nonexistent. The coffee maker was literally full of mold, and they couldn't care less. The pool is a giant fungus party. I can only imagine how clean those bed were. This place should be closed down.

Stayed an off-season weekend. Great location on the beach. Convenient to Provincetown, Wellfleet, and national seashore. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a bit small (a Murphy bed!) But still comfortable with good kitchenette. Would recomnend.

The rooms are tiny and super outdated. The dishes in the kitchenette were dirty and the pull-out and Murphy bed were thin and uncomfortable. The price was reasonable for a July hotel reservation in P-town with a pool and private beach. The beach is unkept with lots of seaweed everywhere, but the view and privacy was nice.
