Where else can you get a room on the water, then walk out the door to the cutest shops and restaurants? We had a fantastic stay. We got a suite with a sitting area which is well worth the upgrade. We had amazing views over the harbor. The bed was super comfortable and I slept really well, which is rare for me in a hotel. We were delighted to spend our evenings on the deck or the sofa, soaking in the views and the fresh sea air. The staff was great and the continental breakfast was all we needed. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful location right along the water with lovely view of the bay. Nice size room and comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly and professional. Decent breakfast. Close to shopping, tourist attractions, and eating. Also close to the Post Office in case you need to mail a package. You can't go wrong here.

We had a lovely stay in October 2024 for our 27th anniversary. We had a room on the top floor and everything was just wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well, which is rare for me in a hotel!! The view from the deck was just stunning and we really enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable chairs. Breakfast was all we needed - a yogurt and muffin was just what I like in the morning. And just out the front door was a wide array of restaurants. The staff was great. We will definitely come back!

My spouse and I had the somewhat unique experience of staying in two rooms at this inn during our "Women's Week," first-time trip to Provincetown, two nights in a small room and two nights in a large room. If I were rating the first room in this review, I would be giving a pretty poor review, as the room was small and missing many basic amenities for guests' comfort, e.g., lack of a luggage rack, nowhere at all to hang your towels in the bathroom, a damaged ceiling in the bathroom, etc. Definitely not worth the price charged. But because the fireplace was not working in this room during our first two nights, the innkeepers moved us to a bigger, more expensive room on the harbor-side of the inn, which turned our stay into the difference between night and day. Ah, not only were there basic amenities missing in the first room, but there was the working fireplace, the comfortable couch, the gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. This saved our whole stay to the point where we felt relieved and happy to pay the extra costs! I would give an enthusiastic review for this second room were it not for the other minor aspect of the lack of breakfast items we could eat; we advised in advance that we were vegan but no accommodations were made for us (when the innkeeper replied before our stay, he basically said, "the continental breakfast is what it is!" when all we were hoping for was some oat milk for our coffee and cereal) so we could not enjoy most of the continental breakfast offered, except a few bananas and on the last morning when peanut butter appeared to enjoy with the bagels. In the end, we were pleased with our last two nights, but we agreed that we would probably not return to this inn. Others who are non-vegan might enjoy, but we strongly advise: Stay in one of the larger, harbor-side rooms and go elsewhere if you can't get one of these rooms!

I have been to PTown quite a few times, but not since pre pandemic, and in that time the inn I used to frequent closed. So...I thought The Anchor Inn looked like a good replacement, and holy cow I am so glad I did! |I can't speak highly enough about The Anchor Inn. The location is absolutely perfect. Right on Commercial Street and in the spot where if you turn in one direction you are right were all the restaurants, shops, bars, action, etc. is and if you turn in the other direction you are right in the quieter more residential part of town. |Despite being in the heart of everything our room was quiet and we got the best sleep. Now, I think if you stayed on a lower floor or in a room facing Commercial Street that may not be the case, but our room at the end of the hallway on the third floor was just perfect. We had an amazing deck with the best view around! We hardly spent any time on it because there was so much else to do outside, but the view is unbeatable and you could watch the fireworks right from the comfort of our room on the 4th. |I honestly didn't try the breakfast, so I can't speak to that, but my husband said that while it was pretty basic it was all that you needed, and right out our door you could get breakfast at numerous delicious places. |I really can't think of anything negative to say about The Anchor Inn. The staff was all super friendly and attentive, though we hardly had reason or need to interact with anyone. |Location can't be beat. |Our room was large, and perfectly appointed for a beach vacation. |If you are looking for super fancy this may not be the place for you, as there aren't any bells and whistles that other places may have, but honestly, with this location, view, etc. you don't need many other amenities. |We almost want to book our next trip already! If/when we go back to PTown we will be sure to stay here. |Thanks for a great week!

Stayed 6 nights the week of the 4th for $530/night including tax. Queen room on 3rd floor with shared balcony street view.

Perfect location.
Good size room.
Clean.
Comfortable bed.
Decent continental breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Very little street noise but you’ll hear other guests if they are on their balconies late, but it’s PTown.
Adorable Labrador!

A few well used edges but would stay again without hesitation.

Picked this place for the view. Third story balcony is breathtaking! Worth lugging your luggage up two flights of narrow stairs. The gentlemen were nice who served us. The bed was so high off the ground, my husband had to hoist me up (I'm 5'6"). Breakfast was kinda lame. Go get coffee across the street. I'd go back just for the view

The location is THE best in Provincetown, hands down. Rooms are bright and full of light, modern, and quaint. Chris goes out of his way to make sure your stay is perfect , constantly checking in on you. Everything feels very open, which compared to some of the other hotels in Provincetown, is quite a differentiator. The View is fantastic. Water bottles in the lobby are a nice touch, especially after a long day of walking. Ample parking. The Anchor Inn has it all.
