Incredible views and nice visitor centre with all the necessities. Car park huge so it's easy to find a park. I would say definitely worth the drive but be aware it takes 1-3 hours to drive around including viewpoint stops so make sure you plan your day accordingly.

The views are amazing. The self-guided auto tour takes about two hours. The dirt road is very rough so I don't suggest a vehicle with low clearance. All the points of interest are clearly marked.

We’ve been to many parks across the US and this Valley takes the cake. Dare we say that this is one of the sickest places in the US!!! Do not skip this. Better yet, specifically plan a trip to visit.

It’s still a bit of a hidden gem-park compared to others. We kind of hope it stays that way, but we simply can’t gate keep…Driving through this park (whether it’s via a self-guided drive or an open tour jeep - we did the self-guided) is stunning ?

The road is very rough at parts so we only recommend driving your vehicle through if it has all/4-wheel drive and high clearance. The first time I visited it was the weekend and it did get busy, so don’t be afraid to show up early. We even recommend sitting at the top for the sunrise (see pic), just make sure you still pay (this is Navajo Territory and the National Park Pass does not apply here fyi). Continue to be respectful of the speed limit and kind to the locals (they are welcoming us into their homeland).

PS. We bought gorgeous hand-made jewelry. We highly recommend supporting the local Navajo artists!

Words cannot describe this magnificent place. The scenic drive is the best way to experience the Monument Valley. We stopped at every pullout, took photos, looked at the scenery which took us about 3 hours. We bought some very nice jewellery at the Hub point. Out top two favourite spots were the stop at the wash just after the Hub point and he Artist's point. From the stop at the wash, you get a nice view of the Totem pole. From the Artist's point, you get the best wide angle view of the Valley with several monuments in view. You can even hear echoes off the high cliff at Artist's point. Go slow on the drive - it will keep your car safe and also give you the best experience. The thrill of driving on mud and gravel through the valley is for the ages. My deep respects to the Navajo Nation for making the Monument Valley one of the best places in the world to experience. I can't wait to visit again!

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. if you are willing to engage with nature and the sacred energy of this place, along with trying to really "feel" Monument Valley instead of just understanding it rationally, then you may go home with much more than you came with.

Worth the drive. Driving thru history allows for the kids imagination to flow. Remember to fill up with gasoline and bring water. There are limited options for hotels. But be sure to stop and support the locals. Amazing handicrafts and the turquoise jewelry is gorgeous.

Beautiful place to visit. You need to be ready that there are not really longer hikes available and you can enjoy this nature mainly from the car. So typical American “travel”. Anyway you may do short hike and see monuments from different ange than majority of visitors. Visitor center is nice and you can refill your drinking water if needed by really nice cold water fountain.

visiting the Monument Valley, you should really do the 17-mile loop drive for a view of the scenic beauty and magnificent formations. The landscape overwhelms, not just by its beauty but also by its size. The fragile pinnacles of rock are surrounded by miles of mesas and buttes, shrubs and trees, and windblown sand, all comprising the magnificent colours of the valley. All of this harmoniously combines to make Monument Valley a truly wondrous experience.
