Great hiking but hills are steep and slippery after a rain. Trails are well marked and it's mostly an easy hike in dry weather

What a lovely spot for viewing and fishing if you enjoy that as well. Early Morning till 11Am will bring you best times during the late spring, summer, early fall for some fantastic pictures, with great great and blue saturations. House picture framing material. Lots of trails in the area and I plan to go back for those this fall for leaf peeping. They stock fish multiple time a year in this area so bring your best worms or lures. Please bless me with a thumbs up if my review helped you, or you enjoyed my pictures. Have a great trip to the Swift River.

Personally, I have yet to really explore the "east" side of the Big Lady. Not too much water, way too many of those silver sided Dace that straighten out hooks. Trout?

My favorite place to take young kids on a hike. Open grass paths lead past old cellar holes and there are a few different trails to choose from. I especially liked the trail that follows the Swift river. There are some magical mossy spots where the water is safe and shallow enough for young kids to play in. There's rocks to climb and gorgeous trees. It's perfect!

Great hiking experience and hidden gem! The trails are clearly marked and the views are breathtaking. I highly recommend going into the morning though as you can see the sunrise as it goes over the hills and river.

The trails aren't too difficult, but it also isn't easy as well so I would take your time. There are parts where you would be going up hills and there are some narrow places. I would say a good hour or so hike would be the best. I only went during fall time, but I would imagine during winter time it would be slippery at some parts.

Hiked the red and blue trail. Enjoyable inclined hike with lots of really interesting, large rocks and scattered old foundation. The entire area is quite nice and well maintained.
