What an absolutely amazing place. I cannot recommend this botanical garden enough! There were plants everywhere! Several spaces you could go into to see them. So many unique and wonderful plants to look at. We went around twice and saw things we missed the 1st time. We were amazed at the plants under the plants! Some I've personally killed that are just growing randomly under a table living their best life! Absolutely breathtaking! A million stars. Would highly recommend!

Decided to take a weekend road trip from Rhode Island to Western Massachusetts to check out the blooming tulips exhibit. It was a cold, overcast day, but once you're inside, it's climate-controlled and beautiful.

We had to wait about 20 minutes to get in because the event was so popular that the line was queued up for quite a while. However, staff made it very easy to move through, and the line kept moving. Parking is kind of hard to find. We lucked out with street parking, but allow time to find some parking. We would love to come here again when the weather warms up and the outdoor gardens are in bloom.

Love their cactus collection. They also have quite a few tropical plants, like alocasia, maranta, philodendron, anthurium, and orchids. I also like the camelias and tulips that were in full bloom last week. There are some impressive chrysanthemum in the photos.

The Smith College Botanic Garden is a fun place to visit, even with children. Of course the highlight is the annual bulb show, but it is fun to visit any time.

There are multiple rooms with different climates to visit.

Fantastic place to experience some greenery and warmth in winter. The staff are kind, it is an oasis of peace and quiet and you get to sit under a palm tree or smell an orchid. And they have art exhibitions.

We took an hour drive out of Connecticut and it was worth it.

It took us about 50 minutes to tour the gardens.
Wide variety of plants, succulents, ferns, flowers and many other varieties.

It was easy to navigate from one greenhouse to the next from the reception area.

This is on the campus of Smith college in Northampton Massachusetts.

They asked for a $2 donation per person and I think it's very reasonable.

The young lady behind the counter at the reception desk was super helpful and knowledgeable. Quick to answer any questions we had.

We drove up Friday January 17th morning, arriving by 11a
It was not busy.

We were told school is out until the 27th and I think that made a bit of a difference.
Easy parking.

There is quite a bit of construction, so you have to maneuver a little bit.

It's free with a donation box in the entrance. Lots of beautiful plants to see and a great winter escape. Good in all seasons though.
