Mill 1 Events - Holyoke, Massachusetts

We got married at Mill 1 on January 11th. It was a beautiful day and mill 1 is a beautiful venue, but we had serval concerns and would never recommend this place. Leading up to the wedding there were ongoing issues with the lights in the ceremony space. We were promised they would be there in September, then November, then December and they were not installed until the week of our wedding.

We also had many issues with Adrianna the day before and the day of the wedding. The rehearsal day, Adrianna was unprofessional and did not have the line up for our wedding party that I had sent her in the document she requested from me weeks prior. At the rehearsal, she asked me where it was even though she was supposed to be in charge. She was unprofessional towards our wedding party and did not give clear instructions. Many members of our wedding party commented after that she was rude towards them.

On the wedding day, she did not arrive until 12pm. Which originally would have been alright, but she did not have things set-up the day before, so that is all she did the morning of the wedding. This was difficult because she did not communicate with us and we could not ask her anything because she was only decorating.

In addition to this, below is a list of things that were promised to us (some promised in the contract and others by word) that we did not receive:

-The games for the cocktail hour were not set-up
-Adrianna did not answer an email the week of the wedding. Resulting in me having to text her several times.
-There were missing chargers on one table
-The tables for the cocktail hour were not set-up
-The floors inside the reception room were dirty and got my dress dirty before the ceremony
-There was no welcome basket for the bridal room. Plus the bridal room was very small with no bathroom and once the guests started arriving I could not leave the room.
-We never could locate the groomsmen room
-The knife and fork for the cake were not the gold ones
-She did not contact or help the vendors the day of the wedding.

I reached out to the ownership about this and they did give us some money back

We hosted our wedding at Mill 1 last weekend and I couldn’t recommend it more! Emily and Adrianna were amazing to work with and the day went by so flawlessly. Adrianna was there the day of and worked closely with all of my vendors to make sure everything went perfectly. She was super accommodating and even brought us champagne while we were doing all of our pictures with the photographers. The venue is so unique and gorgeous and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day!

The coolest! I've photographed weddings at Mill 1 and I love it. There is such a unique look and feel to this place. It's funky and cool, but still feels warm and inviting. And it really gives you a sense of the industrial heritage of this valley, which is so cool. So many great spots for photos. The staff is really helpful, not just to the couples, but to the other wedding vendors as well, which makes for a very positive client experience. Big enough to handle a crowd too. Highly recommended!

Hosted my baby shower here last weekend and It couldn’t have been more perfect! The staff was very helpful and communicative, the place was set up just how we discussed with no issues , everything was clean. My guest really enjoyed themselves include me and my partner! Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a venue to host an event

We are planning our wedding here and it has been a great experience so far! Regina is amazing, warm, accommodating, and full of great suggestions. The venue itself is spacious - more so than it looks in pictures- the exposed brick, big windows and hardwood are just... gorgeous.

What a beautiful venue! We fell in love with Mill 1 the moment we walked in, and were so happy to have our wedding in such a historic, stunning, green location. Everything about planning and hosting our event was smooth. The space made for beautiful pictures and an even more beautiful in-person experience. Completely unforgettable!

Mill 1 was the most beautiful, unique and seamless to work with venue. Our guests couldn’t say enough about the beautiful space. Working with Regina and her team was incredible from the start. We felt listened to, cared for and they provided a personalized experience. I had nothing to worry about because Regina and her team if incredible staff took care of all the details from the seating arrangements to our signature cocktails. The bar staff at Mill 1 was excellent and took care of our guests. Mill 1 is the most beautiful space and is truly worth it.

From the moment my husband and I toured Mill 1 Events, we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding. Adrianna, our event coordinator, was personable, caring, and completely transparent throughout the entire planning process. Her attentiveness and support were invaluable, especially since I was a DIY bride. The venue itself is clean, very spacious, and beautifully modern - the ideal backdrop for our special day. Adrianna went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, even being so kind and attentive with our kids.
