Rooms are super old and shabby with low ceilings. My room (144) appeared clean but had a terrible odor. Bed was very comfortable. Desk staff was professional and pleasant. Breakfast was nothing special, but appreciated. Okay place to sleep for one night but I wouldn’t want to stay longer.

I stayed here few days ago and was disappointed by the cleanliness of the room. The carpet was visibly dirty, and the bed sheets didn't seem properly cleaned, which was a major letdown. Additionally, the noise from the neighboring room was quite audible, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep.

On a positive note, the hotel's location is fantastic, with a bar on-site and plenty of food options nearby. It's perfect if you're looking for convenience and easy access to dining and drinks. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness and the noise from adjacent rooms made my stay less enjoyable.

We spent one overnight, due to a family gathering.|We highly recommend this lodging property.|No doubting, that it is tired and in need of updating, however it is very clean, the staff go above and beyond, to insure a comfortable stay and it is overlooking a lovely lake.|Now for the breakfast! It was much more that we could have hoped for. All food is freshly cooked and piping hot. A great variety is offered, buffet style.|Best of all, the location can't be beat, as you can easily get into Boston or anywhere else. Plenty of free parking too. Price point is UNBEATABLE! Check it out.

We liked it here. It was just a stop on our way from the airport after a late arrival but it served its purpose well for us. Friendly and professional staff, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great. In fact if we'd realise how good the breakfast was compared to the other breakfasts we'd receive during our two week road trip, we might have taken more time to appreciate it! Lovely views over the lake.

I stayed over the summer and the room was ok but there were a lot of smells I couldn't tell if it was chemicals or newly installed carpet. We had a lot of sightseeing to do so it didn't make sense to make a fuss as we just needed to sleep there. The staff was friendly I just wish the rooms were as nice as the foyer.

Edit- coming frequently and interacting with amazing staff, it’s easy to upgrade to 5 stars. There’s basically no options in Wakefield, and lakeside is it. As a new resident I really can’t complain that there’s a decent spot nearby for great karaoke on a Wednesday night. People say it’s a one star place, but that’s probably because they remember what it was like before the new owner came in. It may still be a one star place, but that doesn’t take away from where it excels in service and excellent staff choices, usually reflective of good leadership. Meghan says hi and we love you.

This place is a hidden gem if you are planning a trip to Salem and don’t want to pay the expensive prices of hotels in Salem. The hotel is about 30 minutes from Salem with the traffic. We went to Salem during the peak, so that 30 minutes may decrease depending on when you stay. I stayed with my 25 year old daughter and we felt safe. We used Uber and Lyft because of parking in Salem. Prices were reasonable for rides and worth it. The hotel rooms seem a bit dated but they were clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant/bar was convenient and the food was good. Staff were pleasant. Will definitely choose this place again for a smooth, easy trip.
