We were there for a wedding. The building is really unique (it’s an old tobacco warehouse) and very well taken care of. The staff are all great and do a good job of making you feel comfortable. They do an excellent job with the food. The only negative is that there are a lot of stairs. An elevator would be nice.

We got married on December 18th and feel so lucky to have found the Lageret and had our special day there. Jamae was so helpful and knowledgeable, and we got SO many compliments about how beautiful the venue was. It’s the perfect venue for every season, and it’s beautiful all on its own.

The only worry we had was that the dance floor wouldn’t get as bumpin’ since it was separated by a wall but if you have any similar worry, chuck it out the window! It was not the case at all and it was just the perfect space for an amazing night. Would recommend this venue to everyone!!

Wonderful time at the Lageret for my daughter's wedding. Jamae and Allison accommodated our every need. The staff was very helpful. We received so many compliments all evening. The venue is beautiful and so convenient to have the entire event in one place.

My wife and I had our wedding at The Lageret on Memorial Day weekend. Jamae, the owner, provided us with the venue, flower service, and bar service.

Going with Jamae for all of these services was the best choice we made in the wedding planning process. The venue was stunning, the flowers were beautiful (and exactly what we wanted), and the bar service was on-point. While we had some hiccups at our wedding with other vendors, everything Jamae and her team touched was perfect.

When we first signed our contract with The Lageret, the venue was not offering a bar service – that had to be provided by a third party. Between signing the contract and the wedding date, the venue obtained a liquor license. Jamae understood that this put us in a tough position: we were required to use The Lageret's bar service, even though that wasn't a part of our initial contract. Because of this, she offered her bar service to us at an extremely generous price, definitely below market value! Even though this was likely a financial loss for her, we really appreciate how she handled the situation, and we think it speaks highly to her character.

If you're looking for a classy, and (almost!) all-in-one venue, The Lageret is the place to be!

I cannot say enough good things about this venue. Me and my husband got married there this past July, and it was everything we had hoped for and more. Having a venue that is all indoors AND air-conditioned takes out so much of the stress that I've seen when it comes to weather, especially in the midwest (heat, rain, etc.). In addition, the owner Jamae was wonderful to work with, and very responsive in her communication. She did our flowers, and I was floored by what a beautiful job she did. When I was planning and talking other vendors (with DJ's, photographers, and caterers) she was so well known in the industry, and very well respected. Everyone sang her praises, and she lived up to it and more.

Another great feature was the bridal and groom's rooms that we were able to arrive at as early as 8 am, and has an abundance of room for me and my seven bridesmaids.

Again, I can't recommend the Lageret enough!

I had my wedding here on May 11, 2024, and it was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. From the first visit, when we saw the different spaces for the different parts of the day, the gorgeous wood everywhere, the beautiful walls, we knew it was going to be the place we finally picked.

With flowers and bar service provided as part of the venue, as well as a calligrapher they work with for the entry chalkboard that we were able to commission additional pieces from, it was many fewer things we had to try to work out on our own, which really lowered our stress level for the day. They were responsive and communicative with our questions and made sure to add the details we wanted with flowers, with ceremony decorations, and with everything else we wanted or didn't want.

While it's definitely not a cheap venue, since you have the whole building for the whole day, you also have the whole building for the whole day instead of having to stress about getting in and out during a particular window during the day or night. It was also great to be able to leave my car there overnight, take the shuttle to the hotel, and get taken back to the car in the morning with no issues.

All in all, we would definitely pick The Lageret again for an event like our wedding, and would strongly recommend it for anyone else whose budget it fits.

Such an amazing and beautiful venue. Love how they’ve given it some modern touches, but keep so much of the buildings history.
