I highly recommend the City Pass. The two day ticket is the best value for your money. The app is good and the instructions for planning and using the City Pass for each attraction are easy to follow. I will definitely use again.

I bought a 3 day pass but only used 2 (tired and limited time on the 3rd day). My first day I went to Salem - Salem Witch Museum was fun, House of Seven Gables/Nathaniel Hawthorne’s birthplace beautiful, and the Real Pirate Museum surprised me being more fascinating than expected. I attempted to go into the Essex-Peabody museum but after checking in the guard told me I’d have to check my day pack but since that was my purse, I was not willing to do that. There are other things to do in Salem as well.

Day 2, I did the hop on hop off bus, USS Constitution is stunning (free) next to the fun museum, Paul Revere House is well maintained, Swan boats just to do it, and the aquarium is nice! So much more I wanted to do but not enough time. I will definitely do this again!

I would not do this go city again. They don’t tell you that your trolley hop on/hop off is for only two days when purchasing. Many of the good places on their itinerary have to be made with reservations and often they are closed or full and they don’t tell you how to reserve your spot. A three day pass would be OK to get you into most of the sights around the Boston proper but places outside Boston are very hard to get into and the reservations for the day are full. There is lots of walking. On a Tuesday we couldn’t get into the Salem Witch Museum and the Liberty ride in Lexington was not open.Take a tour bus instead unless you make reservations way ahead of time.

Trolley pass was activated and then i was informed all trolley rides would need to be back by a certain time due to closing , did not board any trolleys as a result or reached any destinations as we would have had no more trolleys back or would be able to see all attractions in 1.5 hrs , trolley ride stopped 1.5 hrs after I activated the pass, would not have activated pass if this information was disclosed prior to activating, and obtained a Full refund of $212 instead, tried to call company to explain this and work out a refund or an alternative to not loose these passes but no luck, costumer service is very poor, could not reach anyone via phone, as there was no phone to contact, all communication was via chat or email which was not effective means of communication to convey my issue. No resolution reached on my end, sadly no refund or alternative provided. Poor poor poor costumer service.

This was a good deal for us. We bought the five-day passes for $167 each. We attended 13 places using the pass (one ticket at each place would have been $339.50 total - so we definitely saved money). However, we only attended about half of the things we had planned on - I underestimated how long driving times would be (Boston traffic sucks) and how hard parking would be for most places. Everything took longer to get to than I had anticipated, but that is no fault of the pass - just my lack of big city knowledge.

Visiting from Toronto Canada, we purchased a 3 day pass for our Boston trip, it is a good value, but not really in the winter or Spring as a lot of stuff is not open, after April is better value for the money. Go City should update information on the tours, and also change some of the tours as they have other hop on hop off tours that are open in March, some cruises are open in March, but the ones they offer only opens in April, very disappointed with that. Should also offer the New England Aquarium on the pass. Best value would be late spring and summer

Northeast Road Trip... Boston/Salem was 4 days out of our 9 day road trip up to Bar Harbor. With so much to do in Boston we started to think that it may be to expensive. After some research we came across Go Boston Card which allowed me, my son and my parents to visit places that we normally would not choose because we wanted to save our money for something more "traditional" for grown-ups. We purchased a 2 day pass which included a multitude of attractions. Sam Adams Brewery, ISS Constitution, Aquarium, zoo, hop on and hop off bus where just a few things we did using our pass. In addition, we were able to visit Salem's Witch Museum and The House of Seven Gables. Go Pass was great. You download it on your phone and scan it when you arrive at the attractions.

We went to Boston for Spring Break 2018 with family. Even though I went to Harvard 25 years ago, there were still many things I had not done before (We quacked on the fun Duck-Duck-Tour, and children get to drive the boat on the Charles River). All-in-all, the Go-Card was well worth it with the museums, boat rides, harbour cruises, and sights. Our only downside is we did not have enough vacation days to do everything.

We also had good experiences with GoCard in New York City and also in San Francisco. We found GoCard to be the better deal than competitors.
