One of the most beautiful places I have ever been in the USA. Don't miss out! Just a few minutes from downtown. Spectacular views from the reservoir, magical trails through the woods. I spent about 5 hours trekking around and I just couldn't leave, although it was very hot and humid that day and I didn't even had a bottle of water with me! I would give it 10 stars if I could. Bring water and some snacks. Please, leave NO GARBAGE behind. When you walk through the entrance from the main road, it looks like an empty, boring park. But keep on going down hill until you reach the water edge. That's when the magic begins. Then just follow the trails around the woods. There are lots of bird life. Including swans, ducks, white Egrets, Red Tail hawks and much more. Also, shy rabbits, colorful frogs, toads, squirrels, fish, light blue dragonflies, butterflies, etc. A little piece of paradise on earth.

The main area is a great place for pets, I swear every time I go, there is a small get together of pet owners. The trail itself around the pound is a nice easy 4 miles that is fairly taken care of. I just wouldn't recommend it if it rained in the last 2-3 days as it gets extremely mudy. 🙃

Pleasantly surprised to discover this park. Great for walking! Little bit of everything here. Picnic tables, trails in the woods, court, rolling hills, and a pond! Dog friendly. 🐕 Clean.

An excellent place for a hike or run (or ski in winter). Dogs are welcome when there are no sports team events going on. The trails are well-marked and diverse. You can explore pine forest, hardwood forest, field, shoreline and the Assabet River. Be sure to look out for the cool shagbark hickory along the stone wall as you enter from the parking lot. Maybe you'll even discover the lone wolf skunk cabbage plant by the shoreline.

Great place to spend time with the dogs. Only down side is the tick warning, that ends making me extremely paranoid with it.

I came here for the first time looking for a park for a morning walk. Parked car at the park. You stroll towards the pond for five minutes and will get a a sign for well marked trail. (John F Malley trail). We took on the right side and kept walking for 30 min and then returned back. Saw many people with their dogs. Overall had a wonderful unplanned morning fun. Good. Recommend if you are with kids and want to enjoy nature. They would also love it.

Update - returned back in fall and it was good colors. Also you can go on the left side and that will take you to other end of John F Malley trail.
