Wonderful fairgrounds really top notch... Super organized alot of security and a lot of options for food entertainment shopping and so on. Bountiful places to sit with abundance of shade. Everything is clean inviting and friendly. May be around 100k folks but def everyone's got space. The costs are your average fair costs but not marked up aggressively... My wife and I wanted to come last year but hurricane prevented... We're from Vermont... About 3.5 hours drive. We feel this will have to be a new tradition to start coming each year. Def was recommended but yea... It's a wonderful time to come

I hadn’t been to the Big E in years, so we knew we were overdue for a visit! We went on opening day since we were coming back from a vacation up north, and the crowd was more manageable than it usually is. So many great food options as always! We felt like the state houses had really stepped up their game since we had last visited. Stand out items were the tacos, monstah mozzarella, and s’mores macarons. So glad I made it here this year, and look forward to returning again!

Great first time at the Big E for my husband and I on my birthday, 9/14! Second day of the fair and I am impressed with how smooth the operation of the entire fair was. free shuttle from Union Station was excellent- great air conditioning and, after seeing how long it took us to get there on the bus, I’m extra grateful I didn’t try to drive to the big E area myself.

We had so much fun as a group here and tried so many interesting foods. The only downside was that it was very crowded with long lines and by late evening there was trash everywhere, but you can't really expect different for such a large fair with so many people wanting to come. The Broccoli Bar was an absolute standout and the vibe was so fun. "The Big Sexy" meal pictured below was amazing. I never thought I could like broccoli so much! We had to order two because we couldn't stop eating it.

THE BIG E Is one of our Family traditions for over 50 years. We were in traffic for over 2 hrs just to reach the fair. When we looked for parking we were astonished that they were charging up to $50 to park your car !! We managed to find a spot for $30 that wasnt too far away. The admission was $20. A piece this yr We always go on the second Saturday. Unfortunately through the years there has been a huge attendance on that day and this year it was a record of over 178 thousand people. We tried our best to see our favorite things and enjoy the fair. Saying we stood in long lines is a understatement- we stood in huge lines for over 30min at a time. IT actually took our time away from enjoying the entire fair which was a let down to say the least. I understand the fair makes money off the attendance of people but this actually was a emergency & fire hazard. People were standing & walking shoulder to shoulder if not chest to chest- the state buildings usually have a good flow but if there was a emergency and/or a fire Nobody would of gotten out unscathed. We were not able to see the entire fair like we usually did in the past .In our opinion the fair should have a capacity limit or made to have a capacity limit. The almighty dollar speaks volumes here and it's sad. People cannot get off work and spend extra money these days to have a so so time at this event. I'm not sure if we will ever go back and if we do it will be during the week day and not with our family. Sad

My family likes to go to the Big E every year. There’s so so many things to do and see. We go through the 6 state houses and buy food and crafts local to each state: a loaded Maine baked potato, RI Del’s Lemonade, NH Maple cotton candy, Vermont cheese and more. We have a lot of traditions, like checking out the butter sculpture, and the Mallory barn for the sheep shearing and cows. Buying a milkshake from the 4H. Going on rides and playing games to win stuffed animals. Watching the parade go by. Checking out the chicks being born, seeing the pigs, ducks, and Clydesdale horses. Then we go to Storrowtown Village to buy crafts. Check out the New England building to see the amazing quilts, cross stitch, needlework, and photos with awards. So much food for sale everywhere. My mom used to like seeing all the ‘ as seen on TV’ items because they would do demonstrations right in front of you. There is such a wide variety of things for sale on every street. It’s an amazing event!!!

Luckily we went on a Tuesday and it wasn't so crazy busy. You actually had lots of elbow room. We arrived around 145pm and left after the Mardi Gras parade.
My favorite thing there, as always was seeing the animals.
We were able to park right on the grounds for a $10 fee.

The Big E..... My first time back in 25 years and I wasn't too impressed. Very expensive and almost everything to eat was bad for you but, if you have kids they will love it. Pretty well organized but some of the lines were long. We went in first thing in the morning and had breakfast at the fire house which was good and then we just roamed around and took in the views. We left before the circus and the bands began so we did not see a lot but after 5 hours I was ready to go home.
