There’s a reason it’s 5 stars! Love the smaller group and attention to detail and the stories of the Privateer. My husband and I loved knowing the history and the views were incredible! It was freezing though and even though they offered blankets, most of us were way under-dressed. I had on three layers and bought a hat. If you go at the end of October like us, pack like you’re going for a walk in New England in December.

We can’t wait to do this again next year (better dressed).

First time on a sailboat and boy what an adventure!!!! Crew was super friendly and full of information. They gave everyone onboard the "VIP" treatment/experience by letting us take turns hoisting the sails and steering the boat even!!!!
If your even thinking about sailing I can tell you it's such an amazing value for what is really a low price!
This event is a new core memory for me that I will treasure for the rest of my life!

We loved our experience on the Schooner Fame. The crew was friendly and very fun to be with. They make the kids and adults participate with the hoisting of the sails. There are snacks and beverages that we can purchase on board. It's very peaceful and beautiful on the water.

My boyfriend & I had a great time on the boat! We were out of towners&it was our first time sailing here. We loved the whole experience & would definitely come back again! Highly recommend if you are looking for something fun yet relaxing! Oh and it was really awesome helping to raise the sail! So cool!

Such an extraordinary experience. After a day exploring Salem we ended the night with a sunset cruise aboard the schooner Fame. The captain was very knowledgeable about the history of the boat and harbor and answered any questions. The crew (Liam and Jerry) was very friendly and kept the conversation flowing. Members are allowed to help hoist the sails and steer the boat some throughout the trip which was nice. The wind was a bit chilly as the night progressed however the Captain and his wife provide blankets that work perfectly. Snacks and drinks are available once on board and are very reasonably priced. As someone coming from out of town I highly recommend this experience to fellow adventure seekers.

This was amazing!!! Great crew that interacted with us!! We did the sunset cruise which was fabulous! Guests got to put up the sails! Crew set off mini cannons! Snacks and beverages available for purchase at fair prices! Jack and Jason were so good! The captain too! Sorry, I didn't catch your name! We'll worth it!!

My family absolutely LOVED this experience! We sailed on the Fame on October 19th, and the weather was perfect. The crew was amazing. My 9 year old daughter had the time of her life. She got to help raise the sails and she steered the boat for a good 30 minutes all the while learning a lot of history as well. The crew was fantastic, very informative, so friendly, and interact with children very well. We live in the mountains of WV, so this definitely something that is out of our norm. Highly, highly recommend this to EVERYONE! My daughter is still talking about it, and wants to do it again when we come back. So if you are on the fence about it, LEAP! Hands down, the best!
