Our experience with Southern Events was more than disappointing. We had to use them for our wedding as they were paired with our venue. To list off everything that went wrong seems a little easier than writing out a description.

1. Napkins and all glassware was forgotten
2. Tables were set up incorrectly even though they had a map to go off of
3. They placed champagne flutes on every table even though we were not having any champagne and we never asked for the flutes
4. Glassware and napkins arrived a shocking 45 minutes before the ceremony - even though we tried to call Southern Events to let them know about the problem 4 hours before then.
5. They actually brought the wrong color glassware and napkins when it all arrived, but we had no time to correct it
6. 45 minutes before the ceremony our planner noticed that Southern Events had not set up the correct amount of tables.
7. They tried to refund us less than 10% for our troubles.
8. A worker told us that they ended up taking all of our things to another wedding and we got someone else's stuff. So I guess another wedding that day had the same experience.
9. All of these problems cause my mom and my planner to take over fixing everything. This meant not being able to spend time with my mom the morning of my wedding as well as my planner having to do side jobs away from the original plan up until the ceremony. This resulted in a lot of other issues for us while trying to fix Southern Events problems.

We paid a crazy amount for this service and signed a ton of contracts all for terrible service and a joke of a refund offer. After emails back and forth, they agreed to 50% back. We appreciated the final refund but felt that there was much pushback leading up to that offer and a lot of disagreeing on what actually happened.

Embarrassing service to say the least. Not what you want to deal with when you've been planning a wedding for 11 months to avoid this from happening.

Using Southern Events for our party rentals was a requirement of the wedding venue we picked but I would strongly recommend them even if not required. Their showroom is beautiful and really helps you visualize your concept.

Our coordinator, Shelby, was fantastic to work with and really responsive. She helped us get exactly what we wanted within a reasonable budget.

The team was also very accommodating to adjust to our headcount and weather changes.

I would highly recommend them for your wedding or any special event.

Great company! Emily was awesome to work with. Everything was totally smooth and efficient. On the day of our wedding, everything was set up and torn down in the blink of an eye. We were able to focus on our special day while Southern Events made everything look beautiful. They were great, highly recommend!!

Southern Events is, without a doubt, the BEST rental company in the Middle Tennessee area. Shelby is absolutely amazing! She goes above and beyond to assist with every rental need, from adjustments to layouts and even the smallest details. Her expertise and responsiveness makes the entire process seamless.

Their delivery team is equally impressive—professional, punctual, and efficient. Every item arrived in perfect condition and was set up beautifully. I truly can't recommend Southern Events enough! If you're looking for top-notch service and stunning rental options, this is the company to go with.

The rentals we chose for our wedding were beautiful and very high quality! They had all of the items I had envisioned having at our wedding, their inventory is expansive for sure! My only suggestion is if you are using the farm wood tables, just know your breakdown is going to take longer than an hour. We had a hard end time with our venue and Southern Events didn’t let us know until the week before the wedding that they needed an hour and a half rather than an hour, as stated on our contract, to breakdown which meant we either had to end our wedding 30 minutes earlier or pay $1,500 to extend our rental time. In the end, they agreed to give a credit for the tables we no longer needed (which they typically won’t do less than 30 days out) but we were still out an extra $500. The wedding day went smooth but just be aware that you may want to bake some extra time in for breakdown if you are at a venue with a strict out time.

Working with Southern Events was such a joy and easy process! Being an event planner from San Diego, who chose to have a destination wedding, meant I would be planning from 2,000+ miles away! Well, even with all the miles between us Summer, with Southern Events, made us feel right at home and helped with every little detail! The Southern Events team was truly a God send who helped us to make big decisions and uniquely understood our focus on the small little details as well!

The week leading up to the wedding was an interesting one, with Hurricane Harvey bringing in lots of rain and storms and every single one of our guests traveling from out of town... but the Southern Events team worked with us and helped to remove any stress we had about a COMPLETELY outdoor wedding! They were able to make quick last minute decisions to help facilitate the weather conditions and never once made us feel like we couldn’t come to them with a question or concern.

I truly cannot recommend Southern Events enough and I have no doubt that you will LOVE every piece they have in there extensive warehouse and you will quickly become friends with the whole office team!

Courtney was wonderful in helping to put together my order for our small backyard wedding. We particularly loved the wrought iron arch which our florist dressed beautifully. The willow cake pedestals worked great for our bride and groom cakes. The rentals were delivered on time and they set up the tables and the linens for a small additional fee which was totally worth it. Although there were two plates missing from the order, we received the missing plates within less than an hour from the original delivery. Southern Events is great and I highly recommend.
