This place of very peaceful and a nice place to walk and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Equipped with trails for wheelchairs and strollers so everyone can enjoy.

I usually bring my rod and fish the catch and release areas along the way. The fishing is wonderful almost any time of year.

If you are a nature child you will enjoy this place!

Beautiful meadow, water walk, and kids playground. Lots of goose poop though, watch where you step. Nice little area for a water ecology class.

UPDATE: Today, I came back with my 7 and 4 year old kids. There are about three spots in the wooded areas that have rocks for kids to climb on and teepees made from giant branches. We spent over an hour there, the kids had such a blast!

This place is gorgeous! Beautiful and easy walk for yourself and with kids. Boardwalk area that stretches out into some wetlands. I was able to see turtles, swans, red winged blackbirds, and a blue heron!

You truly do experience wildlife all over. With sights and sounds surrounding you, your hike will definitely be pleasant! They have two main loop trails. One on either side of the road that have completely different vibes. Both are spectacular!

Serene, beautiful, fragrant in the second half of July. Good spot for a peaceful walk or a book read.

Lovely hiking trail around ponds, marsh and stream. No fee for the trail. There's a small museum but we didn't venture in. It was a wonderful easy walk in the crisp fall air. The Colors were still beautiful

day 6 (17jun24) sanctuary 13:
looped around dam to boardwalk over marsh and beech grove island then back via sensory trail to parking - approx 1 mile. this is closest MAS to my house and I've been here many times, so did not cross street to other trail system down to bristol pond (tired after moose hill earlier today).
mayapples (Podophyllum peltatum) with fruit by stream below dam.
medium size northern water snake sunning itself on concrete headwall to dam outlet structure.
beech grove infected with nematodes...
