I did my pool and classroom sessions (SSI) with East Coast Divers. Our instructor Kim was a great instructor and really prepared me for my time in the pool and then open water sessions.

Through no fault of their own, our pool sessions had to be moved but ECD and Kim accommodated everyone's schedule to make sure we stayed on track and got plenty of pool time and training. They communicated throughout the process and the training and zoom sessions were very helpful.

When it came time for my open water dives, I traveled as a referral and felt incredibly well prepared. It was very apparent that the training ECD provided was above average and the amount of pool time during the course had well prepared me and gave me a ton of confidence.

Without a doubt I can highly recommend ECD if you're interested in learning to dive.

East coast Divers is a very reputable dive shop. I can truly see why they have such a high marks on there reviews. My experience so far has been amazing to say the least. Mike has been very polite and very knowledgeable in helping me find what I need. This will be for sure my life time dive shop for all my needs. Prices very reasonable. Communication excellent. There are many dive shops closer to me, but I will always make the trip to ECD for all of my needs for a few reasons. I am so incredible impressed by ECD and by Mike. Mike has consistantly gone far above and beyond to help me by providing advice and suggestions on gear, with servicing my equipment, and much more. He has an incredible amount of unique expereince, helpful insight, and is all about the right product fit from the most basic to the most advanced.

I took my open water course through ECD and can't say enough good things about the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. The class had me significantly better prepared than other divers when I did my check-out dives. The owner, Nick, is incredibly experienced yet really takes time to help and make sure everyone has a great experience. Can't say enough good things!

Whether you are already a member of the diving community or just getting into it, I highly highly recommend East Coast Divers. I recently got open water scuba certified with Nick and it was a wonderful experience. I learned so much and had an amazing time doing it! All of the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. If you are looking for equipment, further certification, or just want to learn more about diving, ECD should be at the very top of your list!! Wonderful place with wonderful people!!

cannot recommend this shop enough. I am taking my open water certification through them, and the team is friendly and top-notch. I instantly felt like I was a part of their shop family, and was treated with care and respect throughout the process. Nick helped me find prescription goggles that matched my (near blind) prescription for hundreds of dollars less than I could find online. Each instructor has a unique, long history of diving and uses those skills to build new students up. I've been trying to convince every single one of my friends in the area to get scuba certified with me - and to do it through ECD 🫶🏻

ECD is the BEST place to learn to dive. My cousin and I did our Open Water certification through them and it was a phenomenal experience. In the pool sessions, instructors Kim and Jake were extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. We joined an ECD-organized trip to Bonaire to do our checkout dives, and that too was fantastic. Nick went above and beyond giving us the best possible foundation as new divers, practicing our skills with us until we felt comfortable and competent. He is an exceptional teacher and made sure the trip was fun for everyone who went, new and experienced divers alike. With ECD, we never felt like our instructors were just checking off boxes to certify us; they are all passionate about the sport and want to make you the safest, smartest diver you can be. We will definitely go diving with them again in the future. Can't recommend them enough!!
