Great stop to walk around the Wayside Inn attractions. I got an educational earful from the docent there - I don't think there's anything she doesn't know! Inside, it's the most completely furnished schoolhouse I've ever seen, with slates and quills, a stove and teachers' desk, hats and everything. Like folks just got up and left. It's an easy walk from the Inn or the Grist Mill, and there's a larger loop trail that connects all the sights as well. It's free to visit when it's open, which you can tell by the big "open" flag on the flagpole.

If it wasn't for Mary none of this wouldve happened she saved her because her sheep mom abandoned her. thanks to Mary Elizabeth Sawyer who rescued her and now the rhyme became a historical legend of a girl who saved a lamb
