Wayside Inn Grist Mill is a fantastic place to visit. The historic mill, powered by water, if you are lucky, you can see the mill in action. Watching the water turn the big wooden wheel just like it did ages ago would be pretty amazing.

The creek is a great spot to hang out. It’s peaceful and scenic, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Sitting by the water, listening to the gentle flow of the creek, is incredibly calming.

The whole place is full of interesting historic facts and stories. The mill is beautifully preserved, and walking around feels like stepping back in time. Whether you’re into history or just looking for a beautiful spot to visit, Wayside Inn Grist Mill has something for everyone. There is also a historic restaurant and barn flea market nearby.

Overall, it’s a wonderful historic site with plenty to see and do. I loved exploring the area and learning about its rich past. If you’re in the area, worth a visit.

This is one of my favorite places to visit. Beautiful landscape for senior pictures and weddings. There is a beautiful church and a small red school house from the original children's song ( Mary had a little lamb. The history behind the gristmill and school house is amazing!!

Awesome place to capture the pics or do the photoshoot (there is QR code to pay for photo sessions I think it is $25/shoot). But there is no charge to take the pics of watermill. There is small trail which leads to pond and view of pond is fabulous.. there are many small trails which runs through the stream gives lots of piece of mind with sound of water.

Beautiful grounds and mill. The grist stones laid carefully placed around the grounds and are difficult to appreciate how big they are! The grounds are well maintained and people were enjoying many activities there - picnicing, painting, posing, etc. We were able to walk all around, however, no hours for the grist mill were posted.

What a fantastic place. So much history, so much things to see and a great place to relax. Weddings and photo sessions happen here frequently and you can tell why once you visit. A restaurant is nearby if you'd like to enjoy some food and drinks.

It's a beautiful spot, even just for a picnic or a photo session - of which I saw several. Or just for a walk, there are several paths nearby. It's supposed to be open to tour from 9-5 during the warm months, though it didn't open until the afternoon the Sunday I went, so it might be a little hit or miss. To tour it, make sure to walk up the stairs to the back of the top floor, the mill part is there, then down some tight stairs is the metal gear room that takes the energy from the turning wheel and transfers it to the millstones above. None of it was turning during my visit but I overheard something about Saturdays in September, so maybe they're doing something special then. It's free to visit, but there are boxes for donations.
