Best state park I've visited! The trails are short but packed with adventure - rock scrambling, small waterfalls to cool off, boardwalks, and fat man's misery hehe. We spent a good 4 hours exploring. Well worth the $5 fee for state residents.

Great open rocky space. Not busy. We did the chasm loop trail. 6 & 10 year old able to explore, climb, & jump to their own ability. I'm 70 so my climbing days are over but I was able to keep up.

An excellent hike. Not a great spot for small children. Even with parents assisting their kids it seemed like a struggle and really backed up other hikers trying to get through. Moderately challenging I'm the chasm but the surrounding trails are very easy and these parts are perfect for children

Have visted purgatory chasm many times and it's always a great experience. The trail that leads through the rock formations is really cool, but wear shoes that grip well.
