800 Congress is an event hall where I have been here several times where festivals and corporate sponsors used this place. It's basically one large room with an open patio in front. There are no restrooms so if you need to go visit one of the neighboring hotels. My current visit was for Williams Racing for the USGP F1 race. They had a nice setup of promotional displays, fun activities, free swag and a shop to buy team merchandise. The staff was nice and friendly.

I loved the Banksyland exhibit but there were so many people that it was chaotic. The tickets are sold in time slots to make sure it isn’t too crowded but we arrived at our 2:30 time slot, there was a long line; all with a 2:30 entrance time. There were so many people it was difficult to enjoy the art. The way the art was presented had no crowd flow at all. I loved the exhibit but did not enjoy this event space. When we left, there was no line but it was still packed inside.

What a great venue! Was here for my nephew's wedding reception. The food was catered but the atmosphere was really good! Loved the amount if space we had. My only complaint was that the main table was too close to the back tables and made it a palm for anyone to walk between them (which was a LOT of people and I was sitting there). Other than that, I loved it.

This event space could not have been better! A gorgeous blank canvas, the staff was kind, courteous and accommodating - we would recommend this venue to anyone planning a big event downtown Austin!!

I've been to a few events here and I've never been disappointed. Staff is always courteous. While not always free, ample parking is located within walking distance. Have fun.

Amazing reception space - and totally versatile. We were able to take the blank canvas of the space and turn it into our dream vision! Loved that it has both indoor and outdoor space - this provides space for people to step out and cool off during reception if they wanted. This location gave us some prime wedding photos with the Texas Capitol and Austin Paramount Theater right outside. Staff at 800 Congress was great to work with. Highly recommend!

Hosted a 170 person wedding reception here. We loved the huge patio on Congress with views of the Capitol and Paramount (sadly Congress was completely shut down and filled with tents and noisy generators that blocked our views the night of the reception - not the venue’s fault but would have been nice to have gotten a heads up as it was difficult for our guests to get there and a very disappointing backdrop to our reception). The garage door projectors we had looked forward to using were broken the night of our event. The bartenders and security (provided by venue) were fabulous. They allow BYOB which we were looking for. So all in all a lovely venue, just be aware the views are not guaranteed.
