Great experience there during the Yarmouth Seaside Festival. This location had numerous pools, not to mention the wonderful beach! The rooms were nice, and the kiddos especially loved the bunk beds. It does get a little loud some times, but it does quiet down at a reasonable time. Service was wonderful. The fireworks display was a cap to an amazing first time in the Cape. Can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!

We just returned from a long weekend at this hotel. The housekeeping staff is outstanding. The hotel is nice and the location can't be beat but some small things made the weekend not very enjoyable. There was a smoke alarm that KEPT going off in a room near us. I know that it was reported to the office but they didn't rectify the problem. It went off at midnight, 4am, 6am. It just wouldn't stop! There is no fan in the bathroom, which is sooo small for a room of four. I booked a pool view room and had a view of the parking lot. Then, we were told upon check in that there were no additional rooms, but their website showed that there was?! Also, we were told that breakfast was included with the room. If that was true, it was news to the restaurant! Management just didn't seem to care, at least about this resort. It is one of five, in the area, owned by them. Very disappointing because we have stayed here before and loved it, and it isn't the cheapest of hotels.

My family enjoyed our brief stay here at the very end of the season. The room was clean, as we're the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The proximity to the ocean was as perfect as it could get. We will definitely be back again for a longer stay!

We booked this for a quick one night stop over and I was honestly impressed. I had low expectations due to the room rate, so I was pretty blown away.

The resort had plenty amenities and the rooms were modernized. Rooms were clean. Makeup lighting in the bathroom area, pull out lights and outlets in the bed frame, and even C-port outlets.

Check in and out was seamless. With beach access and close proximity to the restaurants, this was a hit! Would stay again if I’m ever in the area.

We stayed at the Riviera! I will start out with, the renovated rooms are nice! Now for the cons!!! The seating on the decks are not practical at all, the refrigerator was not cold, there was no hot water in the shower for all 3 days we were there. Lukewarm at best! Tiny moth like flies all over the room. The restaurant was not good at all. The bar at the other resort was horrible. No bar at Riviera! Enjoyed the beach! I am glad we had a special which included the $25 per night parking fee!! Ridiculous!! Also, one day when trying to go back to our room, the key swipe didn’t work. So my husband walk over to the other resort to get another one. The clerk never ask any information at all and just gave him a key for our room!!!!! Doesn’t make me feel safe knowing anyone off the street could ask for a key and get one! I realized if he had asked for an ID, he didn’t have it on him (in the safe, thank goodness), but didn’t even ask for a name! It could be a very nice “resort” with a few improvements! We thought some of the issues were because it was off season, however upon reading other reviews, it was similar in season! Too bad!

The only things matching my expectation was the proximity to the ocean and the size being roughly that of a standard hotel room. We did not expect tile floors, a tiny bathroom, uncomfortable bed, a smoke alarm that would randomly go off multiple times during the day or night, no actual fridge, a broad gap under the door, and inadequate linens. Granted, the tile floors make sense being on a beach, but we did not think about that. It was never mentioned in the listing. ||The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept in in quite some time. My back was stiff and sore most of the weekend as a result. One night back in my own bed, and I am still a little stiff but much better. The space was smaller than expected given the price. I would have expected at least two sinks, and more room in the bathroom. The fridge was not large enough to hold much of anything, but we got by with it. A microwave would be a much appreciated feature. ||The smoke alarm went off after we showered. We thought that was annoying, but not a huge deal. The more it went off, the more annoying it became. We had just the fan on Sunday night (no heat or air), and it went off four times between 10 pm and 1:44 am. My wife finally shut the fan off. There was no smoke at all, so I believe it was just faulty. ||We had three people staying in the room and only two wash cloths and hand towels. Our stay was Friday through Monday. Saturday, I requested additional wash cloths, which were provided. More were provided than requested, and that was great. However, Sunday the extras were removed, and we were left with only one washcloth for three people. When someone books a room with three guests, at least three of each washcloth and towel should be provided automatically. ||After the first night, I contacted the front desk an asked about cancelling the remainder of the reservation and was told I would have to go through Booking.com. I called Booking, and the customer service rep placed me on hold while contacting the resort. When she returned, she said Riviera would not cancel. She did say someone from Riviera was supposed to contact me to try and resolve my complaint, but I never heard from Riviera. The room was overpriced for the quality of the room and the customer service. The beach front was nice, but we will stay someplace else next year. Villages at Ocean's Edge was a much better experience last year.

We enjoyed the beach and the location as it was central to everything. The room was okay, spacious. The bathroom was small. For what is charged not a real value for your money. Had to ask for a hairdryer, no ironing board or iron to speak of. It is supposed to be a resort, yet no chairs outside to enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink. There was a chair outside our room when we arrived but taken away a day later. I suspect that it was taken by a prior guest from the bar as they wanted to enjoy the sea air. Again for what is charged to stay at this place a chair or two would be nice. Now lets move on to the parking fee, REALLY charged $25.00 per day to park outside a room that you've paid for. Maybe you should charge that money for a chair outside your room. We ate at the resort when we arrived before our room was ready $91.00 for 2 clam chowders and 2 salads. Outrageous. Our meals at a restaurant with a drink almost the same.

Like many other reviewers, we have been staying at Riviera Beach and Blue Water "Resorts" for 10+ years. Probably won't be returning based on this visit. Check in was OK after waiting for someone to appear at the desk. The $25/day parking fee is a joke considering the lot is not monitored for parking permits so anyone can park and enjoy the hotels beach and pool, which we observed was happening. No assigned spots either. Renovated rooms are nice but not guest functional. No place for luggage like an old luggage rack, the "beverage cooler" barely kept the beverages cool! Bring back the refrigerators! Some guests meds need to be kept refrigerated instead of being kept in a cooler. The "in room safe" wasn't really in room since it wasn't attached to anything. Kind of useless. One 2 seat chair on the deck doesn't work for 2 average sized people looking to enjoy morning coffee or beverages outside, so we had to bring a chair from the room outside.. Complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby(what happened to the lobby?) was a nice touch back in the day. Food and drink options need improvement, especially breakfast, and prices need to be competitive with local businesses. Beach and housekeeping staff were great as was mother Earth who provided the beautiful location. And like many other reviewers, we will look for other Cape resorts to spend our time at next trip.
