This is my go-to when i stay in Mass. Love Bill and Norma, love their properties, love the hiking all around the area, and then there's the maple syrup they make as well as their incredible garden that they share with guests. Prices are incredibly reasonable too! I've posted pics of a few rentals they have; and what a night sky!! Those were taken over their log cabin that i've stayed in twice now.

Our family shared The Maples cottage with another family for a wonderful weekend together! We had 3 small kids among us and they LOVED petting the horses and the goats, playing along the trails, counting the butterflies, and enjoying the great outdoors! The fresh eggs were only one of the many special things about staying at the farm. And the adults loved hearing about the farm's history from Bill. We felt so at home. The cottage is well equipped with anything you may need. We would definitely recommend this weekend getaway to anyone who needs a break from the hustle and bustle of city life - we would love to have stayed longer!

My Mom has been staying at the Bungalow and I have been cozied up in the log cabin. We love it here! Norma and Bill are charming and helpful. The Bungalow is updated with 2 gas fireplaces and a nice cooking kitchen. The bed is comfortable and the view from the back porch is lovely.
The log cabin is more rustic and right up your alley if you like wood and want to travel back to the past but still have comfort and a TV. There are also washers and dryers in both places which is very convenient. If you like the idea of waking up to see horses grazing on the farm and fresh eggs and maple syrup on your porch this is your kind of place. It is great to rent the 2 cottages so Mom and I can have dinner together but still have our space. Definitely recommended!

The best place to stay in the Berkshires and/or Pioneer Valley! You will have your own kitchen in which to cook and deck for grilling, and bird watching. MassMOCA and the Clark Art Institute are less than an hour away. Blue Heron is a diversified farm - your hosts, Bill and Norma Coli have worked this farm for decades. They continue to do so. Not only is it a great place to stay but you are supporting this farm which is in land trust and keeping the land in traditional use!

My family recently spent two nights at the Blue Heron Farm. It's not a hands-on farm operation for the guests, but my kids (11/15) loved playing with the dogs and seeing the horses, goats, and barn cats. The property is huge, and would be great for hikers. Bill and Norma are gracious and intelligent hosts. They spent a lot of time explaining the details of their organic maple sugaring operation to us. There are five rental houses on the property. We stayed in the Cottage, which is a fully equipped (including full kitchen, outside gas grill, and washer/dryer) house that sleeps up to 8. It was a beautiful, peaceful place with all the comforts of home.

We stayed here two years in a row now and will be returning every year. The first year we rented 3 of the houses then rented the biggest one for the second year. The kids and grand parents love every part of staying here. Farm fresh eggs, delicious maple syrup, quiet walks around the farm, fires with s'mores at night, and bbq's on the deck are some of our favorites. Bill and Norma are very friendly and easy to talk to whether it be about the history of the farm or how the syrup is made. I buy plenty of their maple syrup for my coffee every year. One of my personal favorites about staying here is its like staying in a friend's house where the owners really care about you.

I found the Blue Heron Farm quite by chance, looking for any available small vacation rental in the Charlemont area so I could get away for a few days. I was extremely lucky. Owners Bill and Norma are friendly, generous, and accommodating.||||I stayed in the Log Cabin property, which was small and perfect. The cabin was obviously well-maintained, clean, and stocked with everything I could need during my stay. pots and pans, laundry facilities, fire pit, satellite TV, a large array of books and videos, and much more. I was amazed at how THOUGHTFUL everything was. The owners gave me a delicious potato for dinner, and even provided kindling and set up the fire pit for me while I was out one day. The farm also offers its own attractions, such as the animals, their own maple syrup operation, and more.||||The farm itself was beautiful, I enjoyed waking up every morning surrounded by the sound of horses, birds, and goats. Located only about 10 minutes off of the Mohawk Trail (Rt. 2), it was in close proximity to all of the local activities and attractions. My only very minor issue was that the directions provided to me via email from Bill, the owner, were slightly confusing at one point. It may be worth noting that there is absolutely no 3G/4G or cell signal in this area of the state, and no WiFi service on the farm itself. For me, that was actually one of the attractive points.||||I absolutely will be back to Blue Heron Farm, as often as possible.

We first stayed at Blue Heron in 2009. This was our 4th time in the Cottage. We have also stayed in the Bungalow and Log Cabin. Love each place. So well equipped. Bill and Norma have created a beautiful place. The farm is peaceful, yet there is much to do in the area, all 4 seasons!
