My wife , our 2 dogs and myself stayed at Griswolds this week. We planned to stay 3 nights but enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed an extra night. Our room was as clean as any fancy Hotel, we have ever stayed in. My wife is a meticulous housekeeper and she could not believe the condition of the cabin. Everything was spotless, from the the tub and toilet to the kitchen. The whole kitchen was perfect down to no water spots on the cooking utensils or the sink. One woman was there working during our visit and took care of everything. Katie was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We used the gas grill and it was clean also. Walking our dogs on the property I saw no animal waste, I have never stayed anywhere that I didn’t see this. We will definitely be back.., |

Had a wonderful stay at this lovely, cozy property. The room was impeccably clean, with the perfect amenities. The grounds are equally clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside of the cabin, in the chairs provided, with our dogs by our side. Even during COVID, we had a great time and felt completely safe and socially-distanced. Katie, the owner, is responsive, friendly, informative, and no-nonsense. Thank you so much for this peaceful getaway!

First time staying and they are absolutely beautiful! We dealt with Fred Gomez and he was a super nice guy. It has a kitchen, huge living room, and 2 nice bedrooms. It also has a nice porch with a grill and bench. I was amazed at how spacious it was. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

We booked online and when we arrived we had to travel to another business to get the keys to get in which I kind of inconvenient after a 5 hour drive. When we finally arrived in our cabin It was raining and the roof was leaking in the living room. I contacted the staff to advise them of the leak. I was advised the owner would be contacted. Well we stayed there two nights with the roof leaking the whole time. When i was checking out I was advised we would be credited $75 for the inconvenience. Well that never happened and when I called they advised they would take care of it. This was weeks ago and we still have not received a credit. Alpine is a beautiful place just don't stay here!

The cabins are simple accommodations in the heart of Alpine, they are worn but clean. Expect rustic or you will be disappointed. They were a better option for me when attending a family camping trip than staying in a tent. The cabins are pet friendly. We had a little trouble locating the owner for check in and check out. The office is located at the rear of the property and on top of a hill. Although I mistakenly arrived a day early, the owner was very accommodating. Ther are very good restaurants in Alpine easily within walking distance.

Sure..it's not a modern place. But, so what? It's a rustic cabin. It's not billed as a resort. Stayed there a couple of times and would again. Cabins have always been fairly clean, not spotless but what I'd expect. Beds are dated but not bad. Showers and baths old but functional. Water's hot, heaters work and there's electricity.

People don't go to Alpine for the hotels..they go for the outdoor activities. Or in our case a mc ride through town onto the next one. Still one can hang out here in the cool weather of the summer and enjoy the fresh air. On the negative side all the outside chairs and tables are shot which is a shame as we'd have enjoyed some outdoor sitting.

Hunting, biking, hiking and you need a place to crash that's quiet, within walking distance of everything (not like there's a lot in Alpine folks) this place may be old but it does it's job well.

If you want a spa or granite floors; keep driving. Otherwise relax and live a little.

Our two night stay at Alpine cabins was conveniently located to all eateries in Alpine. The cabins though are tiny but clean and probably best suited for the hunting or fishing enthusiast. In other words, a place suited more for the guys. That said, however, a nice little weekend getaway that is reasonably priced for this beautiful little community!
