Went to chase the waterfalls since it had been raining. Amazing place and so much to see. This is a must do with a group f0r camp and hike or even sightseeing. There is a visitor center with the most informative and knowledgeable ranger( I'm guessing he was a ranger). The gift shop is quaint but you will not be disappointed. I had been eyeing this area for a while, and after all my research, my plan was set in place, and more.

Cave Creek Visitor Info Center is the first place you will want to stop at to find the best birding or hiking spots around the area. The staff's helpfulness and generosity with their time and knowledge are commendable, even when faced with "stupid" questions (a skill in which I excel). They provided us with maps of walks and hikes accompanied by handwritten notes, meticulously detailing key sites and trail sections to watch out for during our exploration. I was so grateful for their guidance that I made a donation to their foundation. It was totally worth it for all the info they gave us.

This is the visitor center at the foot of Cave Creek Canyon one of the premier birding spots in the US.
Don't bird it's still great... Great scenery... Great views... Great to be out in the outdoors.

Your pretty far out in the boonies so bring what you'll need... There are stores and some gas stations even a couple of small restaurants but the pickings are pretty thin... Plan ahead.

You'll love the place.

Super helpful volunteer in the store with great local knowledge. Would have been nice to watch the hummingbirds at the feeders except people stood right next to the feeders talking loudly the whole time we were there so no birds came in.
