The Maguire House has a stunning location. It feels like a cozy home, yet it is professional. It is very charming. The hosts are amazing. Breakfast is great...the nature surrounding is very beautiful. I had a unique experience which I would love to renew next year. Thank you!

Somehow, we had never booked a bed & breakfast before. Lo and behold, we started at the top. Maguire House sets the bar very high, and we'll be hard pressed to find another that compares. Loved it all, from the beautiful historic house, to the gorgeous grounds, to the delicious breakfasts, but most of all the gracious and friendly hosts. Felt like home to this New England-born (but now a long term New Yorker) boy. Would love to stay there again, anytime!

We had the most magical stay at Maguire House B&B this past weekend! The house is a charming and well-appointed space with comfortable furniture in common areas and plenty of welcoming amenities available for our use (snacks, refreshments, fridge, wine glasses, coffee, etc). Terry and her husband Paul are the sweetest hosts and made us feel most welcome! They were very communicative and flexible with our arrival, provided helpful local recommendations, and made us delicious breakfasts each morning (the baked goods in particular are out of this world!) Both our bedrooms (Wisteria and Rose) were comfortable, clean, and bright, with beautiful views of the gardens, lake, and Mt Monadnock in the background -- it was truly a dream setting to wake up in each day. Air conditioning units in the window and modern blinds were also very appreciated. Finally, we really enjoyed relaxing in the Adirondack chairs on the back deck and hammock, taking in the a gorgeous sunset with a glass of wine and picnic dinner. We 100% recommend this little gem of a B&B and cannot wait to return!

We had a wonderful time staying at Maguire House. This charming bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations in every way. Although we arrived late at night, the hostess warmly greeted us and made us feel right at home. She escorted us to our room, the Wisteria Room, and quickly went over a few details to help us settle in.||Our room was cozy and well-equipped, featuring its own air conditioner for the summer and a private bathroom with stunning 1950s-style turquoise tile, all immaculately clean. The room was adorned with lovely fresh flowers, snacks, and eclectic antique decorations, including a very comfortable four-poster bed. The spiral back staircase leading to the room, decorated with 1800s-themed wallpaper, added a unique touch.||We enjoyed the house’s decor immensely. The living room boasted a beautiful picture window, while the sunlit breakfast room offered a pleasant atmosphere. The large field behind the house was freshly mowed, and a lovely water fountain surrounded by whimsically manicured shrubbery added to the charm. In the morning, I ventured down to the pond, where an inviting bench and the sound of whippoorwills created a serene setting. Returning to the house, I was greeted by the hosts' sweet, gentle dog.||The hosts thought of everything to ensure our comfort. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the inviting back porch, where a hummingbird visited us for a magical moment. Breakfast was made to order and varied daily, always delicious and accompanied by fresh fruit, juice, and a home-baked item. Coffee, tea, and a selection of alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine, were available throughout the day, with homemade cookies provided each evening.||The friendly atmosphere and amiable fellow guests enhanced our stay. The house was charming and quaint, and the hostess’s exceptional service made our experience calming, relaxing, and special. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful bed and breakfast!

We stayed at Maguire house while attending a music festival in the area. Terry was the ultimate host and made us feel like we were old friends right from the start. I grew up in and old farmhouse and loved all the detail inside their home, from the furniture to the claw foot tub in our bath. The grounds were perfectly manicured so we sat on the covered porch out back with the view of the lake. Peaceful and quiet for sleeping and a made to order delicious breakfast in the morning. We couldn’t have enjoyed it anymore and have already scheduled a return next year.

Terry and Paul have a beautifully decorated home that welcomes you. My brother, sister and I (with spouses) had a relaxing weekend. Greeted with homemade, delicious Chocolate chip cookies and a refrigerator stacked with cold drinks. The entire space was ours with a spacious living, dining and TV room and each with our own comfortable bed and full bathroom. We relaxed on the back porch each in our own chair enjoying the view (blue birds, turkeys and deer). Terry is a phenomenal cook and she and Paul provided fresh fruit, baked goods and delicious breakfasts each day. Great recommendations to restaurants and we loved spending time with their dog Maggie when allowed. Thank you to Paul and Terry Maguire…we will be back!

We had the best weekend at the Maguire House! Terry and Paul were so friendly and welcoming, and the house and grounds are beautiful. We felt so at home and relaxed, and really appreciated the extra touches like homemade cookies and the well-stocked toiletries. The breakfasts were delicious and a great way to start the day. We will definitely be back!

After offering us an adult beverage she took us right to our room, The Wisteria Room, and quickly and clearly went over a few things to make us feel settled. Our room was cozy with its own air conditioner for the summer and had a private bathroom with gorgeous 1950s style turquoise tile and was immaculately cleaned. The room had lovely fresh flowers, snacks, and was nicely decorated with eclectic, interesting antique pieces with a four poster bed with a mattress which was very comfortable. There was a spiral back staircase to the room which was very interesting with wallpaper showing scenes from the 1800s.

We loved the decor of the house. Beautiful picture window in the comfy living room, the breakfast room had lots of sun. There was a beautiful large field behind the house freshly mowed and a water fountain surrounded by whimsical manicured shrubbery. Breakfast was made to order with a special offering which varied from day to day and was always delicious with fresh fruit, juice and a home baked item. Coffee, tea and alcohol including beer and wine were available throughout the day. Home made cookies were provided at night. Other guests at the house were amiable in the friendly atmosphere that was created. The house was charming and quaint. I can’t say enough about the friendly service the hostess provided. The experience was calming, relaxing and comforting. It was a very special experience, We can’t wait to stay at this beautiful bad and breakfast again!
