Some of the exhibits were empty, they had many the same animals in different parts of the zoo so you repeat seeing the same thing. Several of the exhibits were sparse/outdated and the animals had little enrichment. The positives were minimal people, we visited first thing Sunday and there was never really a crowd. Not having to deal with crowds made the hour drive worth it. The Groupon redemption process was simple and they were well versed in it. Comparable prices to the Phoenix zoo for food and attractions. The baby animal house was especially cute.

Always a great family time or date spot! Plan to spend 3-5 hours here to be able to take in walk the animals, rides, and attractions. Wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting dusty. Don't forget to map out your time to catch all the shows. No show is worth missing. Oh! Don't forget quarters and cash to feed the different animals and petting zoo.

Went on a very hot day, paid over $100 for two adults and two children tickets (Oct 3, 2024). Adventureland was closed no rides were working. The transportation for the safari was closed. The train that takes you around the safari part of the park was closed.. The kangaroo exhibit was closed …There was supposed to be a penguin and seal show at certain times, but they decided that the animals were too tired from the shows earlier that day that they were not gonna have these shows in the afternoon… On a positive note, the aquarium was great. They have these touch pools where you can feel starfish and also a stingray pool where you can feed them.. Which cost money. It was fun, however it was very unfortunate that we paid to get in and things were included that weren’t open or they just decided to cancel. Shows that children were looking forward to. Everyone on the staff that we interacted with was very polite, friendly, and had a lot of knowledge about the animals. My advice would be to call ahead of time and ask about what is open, which shows will be happening and rides so you don’t go expecting these things and are letdown.

Fantastic family activity. The animals always appear well cared for. They're easy to see, and the customer service is top-notch! Highly recommend the Wild Burger for lunch, it's not what you'd typically think of for "zoo food"!

This was such a great experience. My kids 10, 7, 6 year Olds had a great time. We bought our tickets on groupon and it was worth every penny. I have a new love for sting rays you can feed and pet them. They are the cutest things. You can hang out all day. They have rides and you can feed certain animals. This was a really great time. We will definitely be back

Yes you can bring in your water bottle! Got this one on Groupon. After going I would pay full price because it's worth it! Way better than we thought it would be. You need the whole day to see it all. We did not. Wear closed shoes...I wore sandals and the paths were all dirt. I also wish I had taken my UV umbrella or worn a hat. Also take plenty of water. Very wide variety of animals. Got to hand feed a giraffe. Highly recommend the team. The train and sky ride were closed or we would have done them too. So much to see!!

Local Hidden Gem! Oh my goodness I loved this zoo! It seemed pricey at first, paying $43 for each adult and rides available at an additional cost… however, I was happy to support this organization after all I saw! We were there a solid six hours and still did not manage to see everything. Great for all ages. Our favorite attraction was the animal nursery! So cool to see the baby jaguar and bobcats! Huge variety of monkeys and birds. The rides looked super fun as they all go through animal enclosures in some way. All the animals seemed happy and well taken care of. Bring quarters because there are a-lot of chances to feed animals if you have coins. 10/10 would recommend!

Cons: A couple things were closed, seemed like staff weren’t available or something? Dirt paths, so wear shoes you don’t mind getting super dusty (I appreciated no hot concrete though!)

We love it here! It is a dirt path so wear shoes you’d like to get dirty ! This place is huge, it has amusement rides and an aquarium. Try to spend a minimum three hours here, you probably still won’t get through the entire park.
