Shoba was not pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend going with another decorator. Do not trust her. Amongst many other things, she was late to our wedding and didn’t properly set up the decorations. Mandap set up was delayed and missing components she had promised and we had to extend bharat so she can finish setting up at the last minute. She acknowledged her mistakes and agreed to a 50% refund in writing but never received it after multiple follow ups.

Really bad! Shoba Sastry has absolutely no value for your time and thoughts. No replies back to messages. The way she talks is absolutely rude. I think she has been in the industry way too long that she doesn’t care anymore. So people reading this please contact other decorators! My marriage decor was done by someone else and I couldn’t have asked for someone better

Shobha helped us plan my daughter Priya's wedding in the midst of Covid. She helped us think through so many things and gave us practical advise. She was there as a mentor, as a friend and shared her experience from weddings with us as this was our first wedding. I have to thanks Shobha for being there for us. We could not have done it without her. Thanks a lot.

So, I’d stay away from this lady. We are hosting a birthday party and thought we could do an Indian themed party. So I googled, and this site came up. I called, no one picked up and voicemail was full. Then she called back and asked who is this, and what is it about!! Pretty absurd greeting, provided she is a service provider!
Then I explained what sort of party I’m trying to host for 60-70 people. Didn’t say my budget. Her response was incredibly rude, saying we are expensive, our prices start at a whooping(!) $2,500. Haha seriously lady This is expensive? You could’ve asked at least what the budget was.
She didn’t stop there and said “you should contact a balloon company”. These kind of audacity is something that should be enough to get her out of business!!

After many attempts, this lady picked up my call, and gave me an appointment to meet her at 6 pm today, 15th June 2021. Me and my husband drove 1 hour to reach her place at 292 main st, northboro as she had asked. The door was locked and she did not have the courtesy to even leave a message. I have never met or dealt with any business that is so rude to its cutomers and treats us callously. Keep away from Alankar Decorators, Northboro.
