I visited this wonderful wildlife sanctuary yesterday with my wife. We were very pleased with the ups and downs of the trails that were challenging but not too much. We saw many different types of mushrooms. But the best part was the amazing view at the ledges.

view of mount monadnock from patten road on the way in.
there are two parking areas, i went past the cars at the top lot and had the lower lot, closer to trails, to myself.
interesting and extensive trail system is well marked and connected to Shelburne's town trail system.
million dollar view to the west overlooking Shelburne Falls (bridge of flowers) and up the deerfield river, America's hardest working river.
old stone fireplace standing by itself at overlook...dunno the history. this hill-top farm area is shown as 'the patten" on my roadmap.

Fantastic park with one of the better views in Western Mass. The hike is very easy and has nothing more challenging than some small hills.

The parking is enough for ten cars or so.

The road to the park is private and should be respectfully crossed.

The view from the Ledges is unreal and is a great spot for sunsets.

Really nice walk of variable length. Easy to get to, we’ll marked through the main section. Recommend taking the first turn to the right so that you end with the view rather than following the trail and hitting the view first. Smaller circuit (and half circuit via the cutthrough) are wide and well trodden. Longer circuit around the back is beautiful and well marked. Kids played in the free flowing and often foot deep stream coming down the hill along the path. Great rock scramble around the back corner. Couple of caves we did not attempt to explore but which make spooky spots for kids. Excellent small waterfall and smaller rushes all around. Very still air, so expect to sweat. Well marked on AllTrails, if you use that.

Gorgeous view from the top and a handful of relatively easy trails to get you there. Definitely some inclines in and out. Finding the entrance can be a bit challenging (they have a small sign that's easy to miss) but Google maps does a good job of getting you there. There are two parking areas, one right at the entrance and another a bit further down the narrow dirt road.

A nice variety of interlocking trails, each special in its way. Great view to West and SW from the ledges. There is a side trail to the old stone tower (1909),, that one can climb as well.

Beautiful wooded trails that are too strenuous and are very secluded. We had the whole place to ourselves on a Friday evening.
