i had a very great experience with this company. i booked our honeymoon last october and the all inclusive resort they recommended in cancun (trs yucaton) was absolutely amazing! everything was very seemless and i couldn’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking to go to cancun. thank you liberty travel for the best honeymoon ever!!

We went to Liberty to help plan and book our hotels and flights to Mallorca, Spain. We were already booked at the Nadal Academy but wanted help with the other parts of our trip. The agent, Carol, immediately told us it would cost $200 for her
I had done research already and knew the hotel and flights we were interested in.
Carol was basically useless.
Carol had no knowledge about Mallorca and did not know anything about the Nadal Academy.

Here's what happened:
Brittish Airlines: I knew the flights we wanted but Carol was unable to book them. While sitting in front of her I booked the exact flights on Expedia.
Hotel: I TOLD Carol the hotel we were interested in but was booked. She was able to book the hotel. Instead of just putting a small deposit to hold the reservation (6 weeks away) she Invoiced the entire amount. I would expect a travel agent to know that only a deposit was necessary since it was 6 weeks in advance. When I left her office I realized it was an error and immediately called her. Went to Voice Mail which stated she would be out the next day.
The Liberty selling point was that they would be available 24 -7 to handle any issues. It wasn't even 2 hours later and I was in NJ and couldn't reach her. What if I was in Spain
We immediately asked for a refund of the $200 but she refused.
She did find 1 hotel for us but the price she quoted was $400 and I booked it on Expedia for $250.
The price she charged for the 1st hotel turned out to be DOUBLE what it cost through the Melia APP. Luckily I decided to change the dates which is how I learned about how much extra we were going to pay. Then she tried to charge me for a change fee. Her supervisor waived the fee.
We did not use Liberty or Carol for any additional reservations and we asked for a refund but was refused.
BASICALLY:
SHE COULD NOT GET OUR AIRLINE RESERVATION- I BOOKED IT MYSELF IN HER OFFICE!
THE HOTEL THAT SHE BOOKED WAS DOUBLE THE PRICE ON THEIR APP AND SHE PAID THE ENTIRE AMOUNT IN ADVANCE.
THE HOTEL SHE SUGGESTED AND WOULD HAVE BOOKED WAS ALMOST DOUBLE THE PRICE I BOOKED IT FOR.
SHE WASN'T AVAILABLE WHEN I CALLED AND EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS ANOTHER # ON THE VM, WE WOULD NOT BE CALLING MULTIPLE #S FROM SPAIN. SO THE PROMISE OF SUPPORT WAS BS.
TRAVEL AGENTS ARE SUPPOSED TO FIND YOU THE BEST PRICES. SHE DID NOT.
I REGRET EVER GOING TO LIBERTY TRAVEL AND WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

Very disappointed in this travel agent. She seem to only worry about making the sale. The hotel that was recommended was terrible. Food was terrible. There was nothing to do in that hotel.
Travel agent, Carol Rivera, Never bothered to send a thank you gift in the hotel room like most travel agents do. Never touched base with us to see if everything went well. Very, very disappointed in this agency will not be using them again

Travel is important, especially since we were essentially locked down for almost a year. One would think that Liberty Travel representatives would be happy to get people moving about on vacations again—sadly not the case. I sent an email requesting information about travel ideas. I was specific about dates and locations, but I was never contacted after the response email stating I would be contacted by an individual from the agency. Little effort to even reach out and connect via email regarding our travel plans. Our experience is that Liberty Travel is unresponsive, professional and inconsiderate. There are too many other agencies that will be happy to get you where you want to go—look elsewhere.

The worst experience ever and I would NEVER recommend anyone to this company. Wedding experience was ruined. The beginning was fine , the process was ok but once we had to cancel due to pandemic/death in family, things went horribly bad. Very unprofessional, insensitive, no customer service whatsoever. It was so bad the manager at this location was just as bad, I had to contact corporate and Thank God after I got off the phone with her , she got that office in line. Long story short my wedding experience was ruined by my agent. Never again.

I called liberty travel because I thought it would be easier. I gave her my information phone number. She called me back with two options. Going to Dominican republic one for $2500 for two and another one for 3200 for two all inclusive while she’s telling me this information I have everything pulled up on Priceline the same deals for $300 less a person. Well, she’s telling me those options. I’m asking her to please give me one more option or two. She said she’d call me back. She never called me back. You’re better off going on Expedia or Priceline then dealing with liberty travel. No wonder they’re all going out of business.

I would never recommend Liberty Travel of Montvale NJ. Our agent for my friends wedding was Dorothy. My friends wedding was cancelled due to the nationwide pandemic and the safety of their family and friends. When Dorothy at Liberty Travel was contacted and asked about why during a pandemic deposits and travel insurance was not given back we were told (with an attitude) that it is company policy and that their was nothing else she could do. The trip was cancelled in June but the refunds were not submitted until July and we are being told it can take 60-90 days. When people are struggling during a national pandemic you would think a major company would have more of a heart and refund their customers since things are beyond there control. I will never use this company again

This place is a joke!! If you need a travel agent look ANYWHERE else!! Please I beg you! I used Liberty Travel to book my wedding in Mexico. WORST decision ever!! I ended up going through 3 different travel agents during my time and wasn't notified about the first one leaving or getting fired (whatever happened I don't know). I was promised certain benefits from the first agent which come to find out she couldn't come through on. I never received anything in return for the terrible customer service and the mistakes. They just take your money and don't care at all. Once again PLEASE look SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
