I wish there were more themed hotels around the country. This was just cool! ||The room was clean and comfortable. It wasn't like we were sleeping on a Spaceship or anything but I liked the vibe. Instead of the generic pictures of the area or photos of trees and mountains that most hotels put on the wall, this place has pictures of Space Shuttles and rockets. There's also the cool lobby and the connected space themed restaurant which was pretty good as well.||I'd totally stay here again if I was ever in the area.

Everything was fine. The breakfast was not a buffet but it was good and cooked to order at the connected restaurant around the corner. We had a king size bed with fluffy pillows and the room had been remodeled. The room was small, but we only stayed there for one night so it was perfect for us.

Convenient place to stay for work SW of Phoenix. Breakfast at the restaurant next door is included and tasty. Rooms are small but functional. The noise from the A/C usually masks the noise from the trains.

An enjoyable overnight stay as I made my way west. The spaceship theme is fun, with a flying saucer parked on top of the building, colorful murals above the lobby and an Instagram-worthy alien in the restaurant. I even liked the sparkles built into the outside walls.
My room was clean and looked as though it had been recently refurbished. With the windows closed, most of the highway noise was blocked out though you'll know when the freight trains go past on the backside. The pool was nicely shaded in the afternoon, the spa was a good temperature and quite large. Be sure to go for breakfast since it's served in the restaurant and there are several nice choices from a special menu.

Great place to stay on our way from Texas to California. Rooms are clean and the staff was attentive and helpful. Our air conditioner was making some noise and they sent someone to fix it right away. They offered to move us to a different room, but he was able to fix the problem so that wasn’t necessary. The theme is fun and kids would enjoy all the space touches. Apparently the man who built it in the 1960s supplied NASA with magnesium and was fascinated with the space race. It is motel style lodging and not fancy but clean and comfortable. Service was excellent.

We stayed at this hotel on our way to Mexico and only needed a place to stop for the night. We liked the theme but were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms.
Our first room had bugs on the bed and in the bathroom. We were told these are water bugs and harmless but when we checked what they are, we found that these are considered a form of cockroach. The first room was also pretty dirty (my husband checks the rooms with a blacklight) and the air conditioner was extremely loud. The front desk clerk was very polite and helpful. She moved us to another room and did offer a discount on the rate. Unfortunately the second room also had some of these same bugs near the bathroom, which appeared to be coming in from gaps in the baseboard. The room itself was cleaner, but I let the clerk know the second room still had bugs and because we planned to be leaving early in the morning we chose not to ask for another room.
This Best Western does not have laundry amenities but does offer breakfast at the adjoining Space Age Restaurant. The food here was ok, not great.

The single worst hotel experience I’ve ever had
Listing states they have a pool: NOPE! CLOSED.
Listing states they have a restaurant: NOPE! CLOSED— permanently
Listing states they have a gift shop: NOPE! CLOSED— permanently
My 4 year old had to go to the bathroom when we were trying to figure out check in: THEY REFUSED TO LET HIM USE THE BATHROOM SO HE PEED HIS PANTS!!!
The ONLY reason we booked this place was for the pool, however found out it was closed when checking in I asked to cancel based on their false advertising, but they refused.
Again, the absolute worst. Avoid at all costs. Again: they made my 4 year old pee his pants.
Absolutely unacceptable. Cannot say enough bad things about this place.

Chose to stay at the Best Western Space Age Lodge during a trip moving a friend from Texas to California and this was a convenient stopping g point due to our itinerary. Being a small town with few options, I was pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness and amenities of this establishment. Arianna who greeted me at check in was very polite, accommodating and friendly. The room was very neat and clean, and it came with all one would need during a stay, WiFi, toiletries, etc. I had dinner at the attached restaurant, the Space Age Restaurant, and had a nice breakfast the next, also included. For anyone passing through the area in need of accommodations, I would recommend choosing the Space Age.
