The School of Hospitality Business was central to my experience at MSU. My classes were engaging, the professors were knowledgeable, the advisors were supportive.

The career services provided by the Student and Industry Resource Center were top notch and one of the best assets of The School. The relationships built with recruiters and employers in the industry is invaluable and having a resource devoted to helping students find internships and jobs after graduation is indispensable. It's also something that not every school has. SIRC is the primary reason I received 4 job offers upon graduation. I really can't emphasize enough how important it is to go to a school with a robust career services program that makes connections for students to industry recruiters. Otherwise, you get lost in a sea of applications.

Getting involved in the many activities, clubs, and events was also so valuable. I made friends, gained experience, got to practice skills I was learning in class, and had a ton of fun. The School of Hospitality Business was a fantastic experience and investment in my future.

This school formed the basis for who I am today. A proud Spartan for Life.
The passion of its faculty. The breadth of its curriculum. Its focus on career development and placement assistance. Its emphasis on gaining work experience while going to school. The work ethic of its students which are highly sought after by companies looking for hard working and loyal candidates. The supporting alumni association and Spartan Sponsor program. Oh, did I mention the beautiful campus and the awesome football and basketball teams you get to root for while you're there! While other hospitality schools may have more prestige, I will take the approach that this school has taken in preparing its students for the future over and ivy league school any day of the year. Go Green!

Graduated from The SHB in 1975, and I have remained an active alum ever since. The education offered by the program is second to none, and the program offers it graduates the ability to apply their education and experience across a wide landscape of career opportunities, both in hospitality and other business disciplines. With the opening of the Minskoff Pavilion at the Broad College of Business, the program now has a teaching facility that is second to none to any other business school in the country.
