A bit hard to find and right next to an expressway and some factories, Seidner isn't immediately likable. But the birding on the Grand Calumet is excellent--gulls, herons, egrets, swans, and eagles are what I saw on a short visit. This is what NW Indiana lost to industrialization.

Nice little trail for hiking BUT there were a lot of ticks. We stayed on the path and still had ticks all over our clothes and hair

It was a hidden gym I’ve worked in this area for 30 years I never knew about it. Of course I only recently got into hiking.

Would definitely give 5 stars if the path didn't have so many large stones. One other suggestions would be to have the entrance weed whacked
