I’m a collector of vintage motorcycles, most of which lost their titles a few owners ago before being stored in a shed for 30 years. To recover a title, the state of Illinois requires you to purchase vehicle title bonds: specialty insurance products that aren’t well understood by most brokers or easy to come by.
