We rented a pontoon for 4 hours. The whole experience was wonderful. The lady checking us in was very friendly and helped us get all situated. The gentleman at the dock was very friendly as well, left us feeling well informed and ready for a day out on the river. The whole family had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend for a great family day on the river.

The family running Starved Rock River Adventures were very friendly, efficient and overall, very accommodating. They were able to guide us along the river and pointed out cool spots to check out and areas were we better off not going. It was a great experience and one we would do again if we are in the area. We rented a pontoon boat for two hours. It was essentially the first time I was driving a boat. It was easy to manage. However, at the end of the trip, I got confused about where the entrance back to the marina was and got stuck in shallower water. But the owner was only a phone call away and he came to tug us away from the area and guide us back to the marina. We all appreciated his help very much. Would definitely recommend Starved Rock River Adventures even for beginners!

Terrible experience. Drove an hour and half with the kids to rent a very old boat in terrible condition. Seats were ripped and very old condition. We hit something underwater not 10 minutes into getting on the water that was not visible and was completely out of our control. Got charged for repair. At that point we said we just wanted to head home not wanting to risk hitting another log and getting charged. They didnt even give us a partial refund. So we are out almost 900 dollars for 10 minutes on the water

Had a great time! We took it to the beach on Bull Island, caught a small mouth, enjoyed the scenery and saw a bald eagle, all in the 4 hour rental. Would definitely do it again and go for the 6 hour!
