I can't say enough good things about 31 North Baquets and Catering!! THEY ARE AMAZING!!! I had a baby shower there for my daughter in law a few weeks ago. It was beautiful!! The food was sophisticated and delicious!! The wait staff never let your glass get to half. They were very kind and helpful the whole day. Bernice ( the owner ) is a very kind and a extremely patient person. She took numerous calls from me and never made me feel uncomfortable for re-asking so many questions. My guest haven't stopped talking about it. I highly recommend this place. Hurry up and book your event with them. You'll thank me later.

I hosted my friends bridal shower here, can’t say enough good things about this place. Bernice would always get back to me super fast when I would have questions. The staff was great. I had a mimosa, bloody Mary’s, and seltzers included, the bar tender really did an amazing job. He even had multiple flavors of mimosas for all of us. The food was great. Lots of my guest had come up to me and told me it was a lovely shower. Would recommend. We had about 30-35 people and did not feel cramped either!

31 North Banquets & Catering catered our wedding, and they truly exceeded our expectations! The highlight was definitely the burgers, which were an absolute smash hit—everyone loved them! The juicy burgers, along with an incredible selection of toppings, made them the main attraction of the evening. Alongside the burgers, we enjoyed a buffet featuring delicious twice-baked potatoes, green beans, sautéed veggies, and vegan risotto. The service was outstanding, with the waitstaff being incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that all our guests were well taken care of throughout the night. I couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience, and I highly recommend 31 North for anyone looking to add a delicious and memorable touch to their event!

I really was expecting I would love this place based on the rave reviews I heard when my family members had their tasting and booked this place. The appetizers were great but they ran out of many of them before they got to everyone. They should've had plenty especially since the bridal party wasn't back from pictures yet so missed out on the appetizers altogether. As for dinner, the plates were hardly comparable; I really wish I would've taken pictures to show my plate compared to the lady next to me. My steak was half the size of hers, but worse was that my chicken was literally like a piece that fell off part of an actual piece of chicken. It was seriously one bite of chicken. Asparagus was just okay, kinda bland. Mashed potatoes were great. Servers took dishes and cups before people were done. There were a couple spills made by the servers themselves that were never wiped up, so I had to step over a puddle every time I left or returned to my chair. I would've wiped it up myself but they took all the napkins and there were no paper towels in the bathroom. I pointed it out to them, but those spills were still there when we left hours later. So just an average venue but still a beautiful reception.

After having to postpone our wedding from June due to COVID, we booked 31 North for our new date on 9/12/20. Since most of our vendors were unavailable for our new date (except for our DJ), we were scrambling to find people we could trust to make our day go seamlessly. What a blessing it was to find Bernice and Jim!!

Bernice was incredibly professional, helpful, communicative and attentive to every single detail all the way through the process. She helped us pick the menu and bar selection that worked within our budget and everything was TO DIE FOR. Bernice and her entire catering/bar staff were well oiled machines from the time they showed up the day before to set up the tables, until the very end of our wedding night. My husband and I did not have to worry about a single thing, which we are very grateful for!

Overall, look no further if you are looking for a caterer who will work within your budget and make sure everything runs exactly as you want it to!!

31 north banquets & catering did not disappoint. They catered our wedding. Food was amazing, all our guests raved about how good and tasty the food was. Staff was great! Our favorite entrees were the beef brisket and pasta, they were delicious. Thank you Bernice & staff!

My wife and I had two big concerns when it came to our guests’ experience: the food and the music. We had the pleasure of working with 31 North for our wedding. Antonio helped us pick out all of our food when we visited. He did an excellent job walking us through some of their more popular choices and helped avoid some pitfalls with his experience. We opted to have far too many food choices in a family style setting and our guests loved it. There was so much to pick from that everyone was able to find something they liked that fit their dietary restrictions. From planning months away to the servers on the day of, it was a wonderful experience having 31 North with us on our big day.

We recently had our wedding up in Richmond, IL at the District (Also Fabulous). 31 North catered an amazing buffet meal, the team provided exceptional service, in addition to a great meal. We did greek chicken + Prime Rib Carving station which both were amazing. Easy to work with, and were locked in and ready to go, as they work with The District quite often.
