Beautiful playground by the river. Next to gorgeous downtown Elgin. Features splash fountains recently upgraded with colorful lights. Absolute gem of a park. The only downside is the proximity of the casino. Although architecturally pleasant to look at the boat does attract gambling types. Likely to be approached and asked for money at some point. Nonetheless, the park has a lovely family vibe, beautiful diversity and features truly stunning views and vibes.

Very nice park for kids. The equipment is well taken care of and really like the padded floor of the playground area. It’s a very nice touch with the musical stomp pads. The location is nice, right by the river and the very large grassy area. There is parking along the street that seemed to be good for a fall day. Restrooms were open and available - all in working order.

It's a must when I'm in Elgin. It's such a nice playground. I love the signs that have instructions on them to encourage exercise. Washrooms are clean and a great addition. Not many parks i know have on-site washrooms unless in the fieldhouse. Beautifully placed next to the river with an awesome splash area. Wonderful abundance of wildlife. Parking is a breeze.

Went to the "end of summer bash", the evening was perfect , thank you to all the food trucks , and vendors .
Police presence was strong .
But parking was a pain no information about where to park etc roads closed off everywhere.

Great park for the kids. In the summer they have the water features for the kids to play and cool off from the heat. Park is free and its right along the riverwalk. Short walk distance to the casino.

Downtown Elgin has such a nice area for kids to play. We watched the fireworks, convenient, easy and free parking. People all well behaved. Facing Grand Victoria with clouds in distance almost looks like mountains in background.
