Beautiful nature preserve with rare natural land features. Only walked a short distance on the asphalt trail and am looking forward to walking the non-paved trails soon.

Wonderfully quiet place for a walk with a nice restored prairie. Pockets of lead plant, rattlesnake master, blazing star, and side oats that are a pleasure to experience throughout the year. Sunsets are a sight. Good parking and pit toilets available near the parking lot.

April, the water is moving at a good clip, if you can find it. I got lost because I'm an idiot and couldn't figure how to read a map, pay attention, stay on the trails or your feet might get wet.

Has the basic necessities... A toilet, a picnic table, a roof over said picnic table, and hiking trails! What more is needed? Just bring your own water bottle (full, unlike my son)! 😉
