We couldn’t have asked for a better experience than working with Strange Events, especially Renee and her amazing team! From start to finish, they were everything we needed and more. Every month leading up to our wedding, we had check-ins that kept us on track and reassured us every step of the way. Renee and her team were incredibly organized, upbeat, and truly invested in bringing our vision to life.

On the day of the wedding, when the winds picked up, they seamlessly pivoted cocktail hour from outside to inside, making the change feel effortless and still capturing all the beauty we’d imagined. Their calm and quick thinking saved the day & my sanity!

And a special shoutout to how much fun they brought to the celebration—my fiancé even had a blast dancing with them while getting drinks at the bar! Renee, Nicole and the rest of the Strange Events staff we worked with were absolutely incredible! Renee and Nicole’s communication throughout the planning process and leading up to our wedding were amazing. They made sure all of our questions were answered and that we felt prepared with minimal stress as it got closer. They also saved the day by helping with some vendor issues the day before our wedding. Nicole even worked with us through a power outage at our venue the day of and helped things run smoothly to give us the best day. We cannot say enough great things about the Strange Events team!!

Our wedding was everything we hoped for, and we couldn’t have done it without Strange Events. We had a dream team consisting of the owner, Renee, our coordinator, Lisa, and the officiant, Marianne. Renee’s attention to detail is second to none; she has everything down to a science and knows exactly what needs to be done and when. We can’t express how appreciative we are of having her guidance and structure. You can tell that she puts her heart into her work and genuinely cares about the couples she works with, as well as her staff.

We absolutely loved working with our coordinator, Lisa. She was exceptionally organized, communicative, and flexible. We appreciate that her personality perfectly balanced our nervous energy and kept us calm and reassured while making sure everything was taken care of. We had just one concern throughout the process, which Lisa and Renee resolved promptly. We genuinely felt supported leading up to and during our wedding day. If anything did go wrong, I had no idea.. and that’s how it should be!

Last but not least, a shoutout to our officiant, Marianne Vold. My husband and I can’t emphasize how wonderful Marianne was. She joined us later in the process but we instantly connected! She truly took the time to understand us as a couple and crafted a ceremony that felt so genuine and heartfelt. She is not only a wonderful person but also a talented writer. Seriously, the script she wrote was like poetry. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us through such an important moment.

We cannot say enough good things about Renee and her team at Strange Events. Renee helped us through the planning process for our wedding, answering my incessant questions from things like what decor to use to achieve our vision to logistics about transportation. She was a grounding presence throughout, and proved invaluable throughout the weekend. We hired an assistant, Ali, who helped Renee given the size of our event, and she was just as awesome.

They were so attentive to detail, helping us with setup so that everything in our space was perfect and we could relax on the morning of our wedding. During our venue walk through the day before, we mentioned how we wished one of us had ordered the pasta dish because it sounded so good--during the reception, guess what was waiting for us?! A dish of pasta along with our entrees that we had ordered.

That is just one of many examples of how Renee and Ali listened to us and made us feel SO special on our big day. Everything ran smoothly, from our ceremony at the church to the events of our reception. If anything went wrong, I didn't know about it! They helped with venue breakdown as well so that the next day, our families could just go grab the boxes of our decor and didn't have to worry about clean up.

Long story short, Renee was an absolute pleasure to work with and made our wedding weekend stress-free and truly magical. Should I ever have any event planning or staffing needs in the future, I will be using Strange Events! Truly a great value an wonderful experience. Thank you, Renee!

Lori and Renee at Strange Events were a rockstar team for our at-home wedding. They were responsive to all my questions, helped me brainstorm creative ideas, and made sure everything was covered. We had the absolute best experience working with Renee and her team. Strange events did our coordination, bar tending, and event staff. Renee was such a huge help to us in the wedding planning process and helped us trouble shoot issues with unresponsive vendors and helped us locate last minute rentals. She gave us tons of advice and made sure we were thinking about things I had no idea one needed to think about to make sure we were prepared! Day of, Renee was so calm under pressure, and when some unexpected bumps day of popped up, she helped is get issues resolved. I really don’t think we could’ve done the wedding without her!
